The two abodes are solely absorbed into the ten Bhumis. The twelve abodes are undifferentiated, and the twelve abodes, such as the abode and the near abode, are the ten Bhumis themselves. These are the Joyful, the Immaculate, the Luminous, the Blazing, the Very Difficult to Conquer, the Manifest, the Far-Reaching, the Immovable, the Good Intelligence, and the Cloud of Dharma. Why is the first Bhumi called the Joyful? Because it possesses the meaning of benefiting beings and has attained transcendental wisdom, it is close to joy and great joy, and therefore it is called the Joyful. Because it is free from the defilement of immoral precepts such as universal attachment, and it is close to the nature of being immaculate, it is called the Immaculate. Because through the power of hearing, thinking, retention, and samadhi, it radiates immeasurable wisdom, it is close to the nature of luminosity, and therefore it is called the Luminous. Because it burns the firewood of ignorance, which is the ultimate end of the afflictions, near afflictions, and the habitual tendencies arising from universal afflictions, it is close to the nature of radiating light, and therefore it is called the Blazing. Because by meditating on the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, one becomes master without difficulty, it is close to the nature of being very difficult to conquer, and therefore it is called the Very Difficult to Conquer. Because those who follow after actions and whose meditation has not yet manifested, by contemplating the signless in many ways, it is close to the nature of manifestation, and therefore it is called the Manifest. Because by the power of contemplating the signless without interruption, it follows after a long time, it is close to the nature of far-reaching, and therefore it is called the Far-Reaching. Because from the signful and the signless, due to the power of doubt and non-doubt, and the universal afflictions, even the winds of karma cannot shake it, it is called the Immovable. Because of the power of teaching the Dharma in all ways, having attained vast wisdom without fault, it is close to good intelligence, and therefore it is called the Good Intelligence. Because the treasury of Dharma is like a great cloud, with all that belongs to the three realms, the realms of sentient beings, like the sky, with the rain of Dharma.

Considering it as filling the earth, it is called the cloud of Dharma. Having completely abandoned the extremely subtle bonds of afflictions, due to the absence of attachment and obstruction, correctly knowing the knowable, being close to this, it is called the eleventh Buddha-ground. Having completely abandoned the residual habitual tendencies of afflictions, without remainder, thereby manifesting the complete enlightenment of all-knowingness, being close to this, it is called the twelfth Vajradhara-ground. The ten grounds, beginning with the Joyful Ground, are the nature of the Faith-Practice Ground. Faith-practice, as a cause, also becomes a result, because entering the Buddha-ground, there is no difference, the Buddha-ground as a result and the cause of the Vajradhara-ground as a result, due to the absence of difference, the Faith-Practice Ground is the Buddha-ground and also the Vajradhara-ground, the ten grounds are without difference. The charnel ground and the near charnel ground, the place without distinction and the near place, etc., the ten grounds beginning with the Joyful Ground should be applied in order. The mastery of the ten grounds is the Buddha and the protector Vajradhara, not something else that is said, not other differences, the non-difference of the Buddha and Vajradhara is the eleventh ground. The ten grounds, such as the place and the near place, should be regarded as the power of the Bodhisattva and the pure realm. The charnel ground should be regarded as the Buddha-ground, regarded as pure wisdom. The near charnel ground should be regarded as the Vajradhara-ground, regarded as transcending the experience of bliss and so on. Therefore, the three vajras of the Bodhisattva, the Buddha, and the Vajradhara are inseparable, all Bodhisattvas, Buddhas, and Vajradharas are only the masters of the ten grounds, there is no difference whatsoever in the Bodhi of manifesting the complete enlightenment of all-knowingness. Among them, Vajrasattva is Vajradhara, the Great Bodhisattva is the Buddha, the Samaya-sattva is the Bodhisattva, this is the extensive explanation of the brief indication in the chapter of the Vajra family. Place and near place, etc.
