Actions and so on are spoken of. The remainder is the joy of co-emergence. That which is called action is the last of all. In any case, these three are the nature of samsara and nirvana, and because they are delusion, they cause continuous arising in samsara. Therefore, in order to attain the nature of the dharmakaya of great bliss, it is called co-emergence, and that is the one to be meditated upon. Again, why do these three not lead to liberation? First, it is said that touch and so on, that which is called touch is the vajra in the lotus. That which is called the second is the desire for a bliss that is superior to that. That which is called the third is the joy of separation from joy. That which is called the destruction of desire is because it is the nature of being free from desire. Therefore, it means that therefore one should meditate on the co-emergent, which is called the fourth. Regarding supreme joy and so on, that which is called existence is that which has the nature of samsara, because of desire and attachment to co-emergence. That which is called separation from joy is that separation from joy is shown to be nirvana. That which is called the middle way is that the first joy is merely joy, merely common happiness. These refer to the co-emergent, which is apart from the three that have been taught, and which is the nature that has not been tainted by the faults of samsara and nirvana, and now it is to be meditated upon, not others, up to here. If that is the case, then attaining the bliss of co-emergence will lead to the attainment of the state of the great Vajradhara, because one will personally experience the essence of wisdom, and since it has already been done, what is the use of meditating? It is said that it is not spoken by others, etc., that the guru and Vajradhara, etc., are not anywhere, nor is it in conjunction with the four chakras and the lotus of wisdom, because that is to be known by each individual, beyond the scope of what can be understood. If that is the case, then how can it be taught and heard? It is expressed by conventional truth, by whose nature.

It is not so, just as the happiness and suffering of gods and hells are shown and heard. If that is so, then how is this knowing? It is said, "My merit," etc., this is to be aimed at by the particularity of meditation. Therefore, meditation is not meaningless, because without complete meditation, it is not possible to make it manifest. As it is said: "Eliminating the thunder of existence. Now I have shown you the path. You yourself are the actor. The Tathagata is only the indicator." Thus it is said. If it is said that meditating on the wheel of the mandala, etc., this belongs to the lineage. The co-emergent joy is an obvious near object, so it is not appropriate to show the obvious to others. Therefore, it is said, "From merit," etc. Thinking thus: The worldly co-emergent joy is not to be accomplished, because it is already accomplished, and because it is leaky, it is defiled, and samsarins are the root of it. Then, what should it be like? The Tathagata himself should each correctly recognize. The co-emergent one called Dharmakaya, that is what is to be accomplished here. And there is no other method, so here, through the worldly co-emergent joy, like a mantra, having more faith and meditating, from the power of thus fully maturing, one will know oneself, not from before. Therefore, hearing, thinking, and meditating will not become meaningless. The method is the path. Relying on it is to meditate correctly. That time is very much, it means various kinds. The time obtained from the lama is the time of the lama, that is, the lama gives it to the disciple who has become a vessel according to the ritual, it is the meaning of the mantra. If it is said, how should co-emergent joy be meditated? Is it in the same realm, or does it appear to be universally present in various realms? It is said, "Inferior," etc., this is a brief indication. Explaining this is "Subtle meaning," etc., the subtle meaning is

It is the mind of self-nature and arises from the mind. That which is called "things" is the body of self-nature. That which is called "two" is one's own body and limbs. The six senses are the eyes and so on, which abide in the body. That which is called "reliance" and "movement" is having an external mind and not having a mind. That which is called "I am" is not only self-nature, but also Vajradhara, the nature of great bliss. That which is called "equality and sameness" is the nature of non-duality. What is that like? It is said, "Meditate on that." The explanation here is called "taste equality." Also, the explanation here is called "equality" and so on. Equality means becoming the same. That which is called "that" is inferior and middling and so on. "Taste" is essence, a synonym for "things." What is taste? It is the meaning of co-emergent, with the characteristic of great bliss, on the wheel. In order to show the condensed meaning, it is said, "Meditate on the one taste of equality." Again, how should one meditate on the equality of one taste? It is said, "From me" and so on. Thus, when the yogi knows, it is thus, having firmly grasped. That which is called "utterly equal abiding" is in all circumstances. In order to clarify that, it is said, "eating and drinking" and so on. "Spontaneously" means entering spontaneously by oneself. In that which is called "Mahamudra" and so on, it means "in order to accomplish Mahamudra," which shows the yoga of particular devotion. Now, in order to show the mind in this very thing, it is said, "All beings will meditate." That which is called "all beings" is sentient beings and the vessel world, all of which arise from meditation. Why? It is said, "by mind," which is by the consciousness of discrimination. If it is not examined, will it not be meditated upon? It is said, "all dharmas," which is to fully know the nature of co-emergence, which is the meaning of what should be meditated upon. In that which is called "stable and moving" and so on.
