The reason for using terms like "mother" to express unsurpassed wisdom is to distinguish it from the outer and inner self-nature. Therefore, it is said, "Called mother," etc. Because it generates all kinds of great bliss, it is called mother. In order to distinguish between conventional truth and ultimate truth, it is a sister. In the words "virgin," etc., because unsurpassed happiness can cause all sentient beings to develop attachment, it is a virgin. Because it can perfect the qualities of the unsurpassed Buddha, it is a daughter. Because beginners cannot be stable, it is a dancer. Because it is not the object of the senses, it is expressed by the word "young woman," etc. If everything is included in the Completion Stage, then are the recitations, meditations, mudras, mandalas, etc., that are spoken of, all non-existent? Or are they existent? The answer is that for those beginners who need to be tamed, these are existent, so they should be accepted. Therefore, from the nature of non-elaboration, mantras and deities truly exist. This has been said. If this is the case, then how should recitations and meditations, etc., be practiced in terms of the Completion Stage? Therefore, it is said, "Speech is recitation, truly spoken," etc. Speech refers to realization and apprehension. What is it? It refers to ཨཱ་ལི་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning), which is the realization of the breath in the left and right nostrils, which must be realized. This should also be truly received from the guru's oral instructions. Recitation is expressed by the term Vajra recitation. As for the mandala, the altar refers to the essence, which is the wisdom of great bliss. That which obtains it is the city, so it is called a mandala. What is it? It refers to footprints, which is the tight contraction of the toes. Therefore, it is said, "The self is the mandala." The self and holding, using the nature of sound to hold great bliss, is called a mandala.

These are the methods for holding the aspect of great bliss. The so-called "hand seal" is when the two thumbs press down on the two ring fingers, and this is the hand seal. It itself becomes the hand seal. The fingers themselves are also like that. What is meant by "fingers" here refers to the linga and the tongue. To rub them together is to join upwards. Regarding "what is thought is," etc., the so-called "that" refers to everything thought in the chapter on Suchness, which should be contemplated as having the characteristic of being unborn. Therefore, in order to make it the most supreme essence, one should contemplate it in this way. The aspect of luminosity itself should also be contemplated in this way, and therefore it should be contemplated. The so-called "father" is Vajradhara, the seventh of the third meaning. One should generate the bliss that Vajradhara has attained. The so-called "self" refers to engaging in practice without relying on external hand seals. The so-called "that is samadhi," etc., refers to the samadhi of luminosity, in which there is no meditator, object of meditation, or meditation itself. How then should one practice? "With what bliss does one die here," etc., is said. Death is liberation. There, the mind and mental factors, as well as the nature of ignorance, all cease, and this is called death. The so-called "with what bliss" refers to the great bliss that has the characteristic of exhausting all afflictions and near afflictions. The fifth chapter of the Difficult Explanation of Hevajra, "Garland of Jewels of Yoga," is a commentary on the chapter on Suchness. Sixth, Commentary on the Chapter on Conduct. Now, although yogis always enjoy meditation, in order to show that without conduct one cannot quickly attain enlightenment, it is said, "From that, I will explain well again." This means that the teachings of the guru and the Buddha, as well as the suffering of asceticism, are conduct, and should be explained. The so-called "gone to the other shore" refers to being completely beyond the world. The so-called "supreme" refers to being the most important, through which one can realize and understand. The so-called "who" refers to who.
