Recognizing the remainder is to be delighted and separated from the very downfall of bodhicitta. The joy of co-emergence is taken ahead by joy and separation. That is not true, because what is to be proven has already been established. Because the co-emergent is proven by conditions. That is also directly or indirectly. If it is said that it is known through joy and supreme joy, then what is to be done after following joy and separation? Joy and separation are to be proven, not the prover. If the downfall of bodhicitta itself is suffering, then how can it be joy? This is the action of self. First is wanting to touch, which is a word of seven letters. Touching refers to touching those objects. Wanting refers to the time when one wants to touch, which is the first joy. Second is wanting happiness, which means wanting only happiness, which is the meaning of supreme joy. Third is the destruction of desire, which is not being attached to the happiness of desire. Here, because there is no desire, there is no attachment to that joy and separation. Therefore, the third joy and separation is not clinging to objects, but clinging to the remainder of mere happiness. Fourth refers to the fourth joy, which is becoming the co-emergent joy. If one asks what these joys, supreme joys, and joys are like, the answer is: to be cultivated. What is to be cultivated is joy and so on, which is endowed with conceptual thought. The fourth is the meaning of being free from conceptual thought. For supreme joy and so on, supreme joy is speech, because it is slightly bound by the nature of the continuity of clinging to self and what belongs to self. Joy and separation are separated from desire. Nirvana is abandoning the bonds of karma and afflictions. The Middle Way refers to merely entering into equanimity, not truly arising. Mere joy is like that, it is the meaning of the first joy. That is also the aspect of samsara. Abandon these co-emergents. Here, these refer to the three joys and so on, the nature of not extremely clinging to samsara and nirvana is the co-emergent.

This is how it is understood. If asked what it is like, the answer is, "Without attachment," etc., which means without clinging, without detachment, without Madhyamaka, that is, liberated from clinging and detachment, etc., and without distinguishing separately, this is how it is understood. Because joy and supreme joy are clinging, and detachment from joy is without clinging. Those four in the middle, even if understood, will not become an object. So, how should such a nature be understood? To this, the answer is "Should be said," that is, "Others cannot say," etc., because it is not the scope of speech, without an object, separated from the nature of form and sound, etc., and in any direction, not like a vase, etc., it will not be distinguished by the nature of the eyes, etc. So, "co-emergent" is just a name, like a rabbit's horn, after analysis, it cannot be understood from any aspect, if asked like this, the answer is "I," etc., that is, what co-emergent is unknowable? However, the other's voice is internal, so "I" should be regarded as "to me," that is, the meaning of the seventh case. Therefore, I should understand my co-emergent to me. That is also produced from merit, that is, from the accumulation of offerings to the guru and the Three Jewels, etc. If asked, how to do the guru's teachings, etc. like this? The answer is, "The guru's," etc., that is, the guru's method is sequential, that is, from one to another, meaning the guru from one to another. Therefore, one should rely on the guru's method, because in the necessary sense, offerings, etc. precede. Through those reliance, the guru's mind will become joyful and clear, thereby obtaining methods such as joy arising from the union with the mother of desire of the lineage. Therefore, it is merit, and I should understand my co-emergent to me. Now, in order to show that this taste is the same, the answer is, "Lower and middle," etc. In order to explain this teaching, the answer is, "The position of the lower is," etc., meaning lower, conquered, separated, and without. Therefore, the answer is, "Subtle meaning
