In order to apply the pure path to practice, all manifest actions and so on are merely widely known. So, what is it like? As it is said, in "Lord of Rituals" and so on, "Ritual" means to accomplish through ritual. And "Lord" is the most supreme. Therefore, through the term "Lord of Rituals," it should be understood as "the Lord's Ritual," because it is excellent in expressing the meaning of compassion. Manifest actions and so on are only permitted for sentient beings with a general compassionate mind. Then, why inflict suffering on the wicked? Because as long as they do not turn away from the cause of evil, they cannot be combined with benefiting sentient beings. This also shows that the thought of manifest actions and so on also comes from the ultimate application of compassion. Among them, in order to explain what should be done in the place of gathering, as it is said, in "To this, as follows" and so on, "Daytime, the Blessed Vajradhara" means that daytime is the part of skillful means. That is, it is transformed into merit from the nature of luminosity. Night is the part of wisdom, that is, it is a fault because it is free from defilement. Merit and fault are respectively skillful means and wisdom. Therefore, the nature of merit and fault is in the time of going and coming. In this way, if there is no merit and fault, what is Nirvana and Samsara like? In this way, merit and fault are sometimes Nirvana, and sometimes Samsara. Because of impurity, merit is also Samsara. From complete purity, fault is also Nirvana. That is to say, if one is attached to manifestation, then Nirvana is also a fault. If one is not attached to manifestation, then Samsara is also merit. In "Do not do a little" and so on, the actions of a noble person are "to do," that is, giving and so on. The opposite of this is "not to do." "Non-existent" means non-existent. "Not to be eaten" means grains that should not be eaten, and so on. "Non-existent" means that although this is the case, these can be eaten. "Not to be thought" means that because one does good deeds, one should not think, that is, it is not appropriate to think of not thinking for the benefit of others. "Not to be spoken" means not to speak because one has a sense of shame.

is, words that are not clearly shown to others. Also, not speaking of those non-virtues means the absence of those non-virtues. This also shows the confession of sins. Or, all things that should not be done, etc., whatever is contrary to the worldly, is absent. The absence of that is what should not be done, the three such as killing are the misdeeds of the body. The misdeeds of speech are the four types such as lying. The misdeeds of mind are the three such as covetousness. Therefore, 'of the body,' etc., means 'should not be taken,' because those are inherently faulty. Therefore, because all virtues should be especially inclined to as illusions, and not to non-virtues, always from the very conduct of bodhichitta. How is it said to exchange self and others, etc., how, just as 'I am I and me' is arrogant, so it should be with other sentient beings. 'Other' means that just as one is arrogant towards others, so one should be towards oneself. That is what was said before: having given the gift of the body, afterwards one should also practice correctly. 'Eating,' etc., is khadanam, from now on. Khanu apadarana, from the root of cutting and eating, is fully combined. The explanation of the pure state of dance and song, as taught in the chapter on conduct, is 'how many,' etc. When? It is said that when a yogi is in the position of glorious Heruka, it is like that. In order to express all the desire-god glorious Heruka, 'glorious,' etc., is said. The word 'glorious' means non-dual wisdom, because it is free from grasper and grasped, etc. 'He is the emptiness of causes, etc.' Regarding this, 'He' is derived from the root of 'ha,' with 'i' added as a suffix, so it is 'he.' 'Ni' is 'i' removed from the word 'idi,' so it is also said 'he,' because it is obtained, so 'he ni' is added. Therefore, the emptiness of causes, etc., is the meaning of the word 'he.' 'Du' means 'separated from assembly,' and 'assembly' means thinking and discriminating about gods, etc.; being separated from that, the gods become without substance, and therefore also gods.
