Due to existence, it is said that what binds the faces of the two is mudra and so on. The empowerment of wisdom that is spoken of is also in that very action. As for "In the mandala land, is it for wisdom itself or for others?" The nature of wisdom that is spoken of is self-awareness. Knowing that skillful means and wisdom are mixed, it is that both become the wisdom of equality through universal joy, or the nature of emptiness and compassion. As for "Attachment and non-attachment are truly mixed," it is that the supreme and joy, etc., become the nature of equality. In order to show that all of that has been attained, it is said "that itself" and so on. As for "The others, whatever those are, are those," it refers to those imputed forms that were just spoken of, which are also the nature of those. Because the nature is not understood, is it another name? Those who are known by another essence are, in the ultimate sense, co-emergent. In order to purify that and that aspect, it is said "that itself," such as "sentient beings' discriminating consciousness, and form," etc. What is said by that itself is that it truly exists like the form of an illusion, and in whatever way it is discriminated, it appears through that form. In order to show the lord of all, it is shown separately, first is just joy, joy and supreme joy, etc., become the means of that, joylessness is not really wanted, because that is the order of generation, that is, remembrance. Therefore, what is free from characteristics from the three is the fourth, it is the completion of the number of the fourth, and it is not that it exists without interval between the three. As for "Thus it is heard," it is the nature of the great co-emergent lord. As for "Vajragarbha and other wise ones," it refers to bodhisattvas. As for "extremely rare," it means to regard it as rare, to be in accordance with the co-emergent one is to obtain. After obtaining, and also because of the bliss of the extremely co-emergent, one faints with self-awareness, thereby truly gathering the grasper and the grasped, etc., and the faculties, etc., and just inclining towards suchness, after obtaining emptiness, with compassion looking at sentient beings who have fortune, going to that world, emptiness and compassion.

It is the meaning of saying, 'May one obtain great bliss, possessing the nature of self-mastery.' It was also said thus: 'The first joy is the form of the goer.' And so on. The form of the goer is that the goer is merely renowned. Likewise, the supreme and the absence of joy are also so. The co-emergent is not in the three. This means that in this way, the co-emergent is supremely excellent, and this is also made clear by the Bhagavan. This is spoken by the Bhagavan in order to make it clear to others after having attained it in this way: 'It is not desire, nor is it without desire.' And, 'The middle way is also without an object.' It is not the middle because it depends on the beginning and the end. Since those do not exist, the middle way is also without an object. This is: 'The beginning, the middle, and the end are emptiness.' Thus it is. Likewise, in what will be explained, since there is no middle in the beginning and the end. Or, if it is not co-emergent for those who have desire and those who are without desire, then what would it be at that time? To this it is said: 'The middle way is liberated from desire and the absence of desire, the co-emergent of the middle way is individually without an object,' which means it is without an object and unchanging. If it becomes like that, then it is not an object of the world, so it is not understood and not attainable. To this, it is said: 'He also first examines the absence of joy.' 'He also' means the characteristic. Here, it is not understood from others in any way, but from the power of meditating on the guru's instructions, it will become clear. In order to show the order of individual appearances from meditating on the guru's instructions, it is said: 'At first,' when learning, it appears individually as if it were temporarily obscured. Then it becomes slightly clearer, like an illusion. Then, what is to be examined becomes very clear, the co-emergent is an instant. Appearing like a dream means that it is the same as what was seen before, appearing clearly without difference from a dream. Likewise, the co-emergent also appears as the nature of clarity. From that, by meditating even more clearly, it is like there is no difference between dream and waking. It appears in all states in a way that is equally clear. Then, in all states, with the characteristic of being inseparable and individually appearing.
