Furthermore, the vows and initiations, as well as the language of symbols, the distinctions of joy and moments, and other things like food. Among these, the vows that are spoken are stated as such. For example, Hevajra is a symbol. Likewise, what are the vows of all the Tantras of the scriptures? What is the initiation? What is joy? What are the distinctions of moments? What is the yoga food like? For the benefit of future beings, the Blessed One spoke, and thus it is connected. Among them, the vows of all Buddhas are: evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus). Completely abide in evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus). The great bliss of the nature of evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus) is truly known from initiation. As it is said, this meaning also comes from the root Tantra itself. I, after Nirvana, for the sake of being understood by the Shravaka children, to Vajrapani and others, at the beginning of the Dharma, establish the word evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus), which is the meaning of straightforwardness. I have not passed into Nirvana, I am a body like a Vajra, at all times I abide, and show transformation to the children. Such is the beginning of the meaning of straightforwardness. In terms of the definitive meaning, evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus) refers to father and mother, evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus) is clearly shown as the sun and moon, evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus) is the reality of blood and semen, evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus) is right and left, evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus) refers to the lingam and the place of birth, evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus) is method and wisdom, evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus) is the basis of all happiness and suffering, e (Tibetan, Devanagari: ए, Romanized Sanskrit: e, literal Chinese meaning: e) is the navel, and vaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: vaṃ) is the crown of the head. As it is said, this is the definitive meaning. Then, the yoginis requested the Blessed One Vajrasattva as follows, which is to show the speech as it is. Blessed One, teacher, wisdom of beings, the vows of the Dakinis, what is the nature of evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus)? How is the order, please explain. This is because the Dakinis manifestly called upon the Blessed One Hevajra, the nature of Vajrasattva, the vows of bliss of the Dakinis, and the meaning of the letter evaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, literal Chinese meaning: thus), we do not know, please explain. This is the meaning. In order to answer them, the Blessed One taught, what is the excellent form of e? Thus and so on were spoken. For example, yoginis such as the Selfless Mother and the Leafy Forest Mother, listen. Thus, e refers to all Buddhas.
