Thus says, "Abhiṣiñcantu māṃ sarvatathāgata." Then, those Buddhas, in the form of Heruka, should manifestly empower with the nectar vases of the essence of the five Tathāgatas. While empowering, a rain of flowers will fall from the sky. The gods will make the sounds of great drums. A rain of saffron will occur. Form Vajra Mother and others will make offerings. Eye Mother and others will sing songs of vajra. In the crown of empowerment, one will become the lord of the family. By this, Heruka will be complete. Then, the mantra of empowerment, such as "skul," should be recited: Oṃ sarvatathāgatakāyavākcittavajrasvabhāvātmako'haṃ. Having meditated on the meditation empowered in three sessions in this way, one should rise and abide in the form of the deity at all times. In the six thousand verses of the commentary on Hevajra, the chapter on the empowerment of deities is taught, which is the ninth section. The chapter on the empowerment of deities is complete. Section Ten The beginningless, endless, peaceful dharma, The exhaustless, pervasive lord of existence and non-existence, Emptiness and compassion, without distinction, Is said to be bodhicitta. Good in the beginning, middle, and end, In that very precious great bliss, All things pay homage. This is the commentary on the fifth chapter. The Buddha is the one who shows that very thing, For the benefit of all sentient beings, For the sake of attaining the fruit of the Great Seal, Vajrasattva writes this. Here, the Bhagavan declared: Then, from this, the chapter on Suchness will be explained. The nature and so forth should be clarified. Nature is that which makes one self-aware. It is the wisdom of the Tathāgata. Nature is that which holds, and all that is held and that which holds are separate from the transformations of the eighteen elements. For the yogis, there is no external form, no seer, no eye, no consciousness of the eye. Likewise, there is no hearer, no sound, no consciousness of the ear. Likewise, there is no smell, no smeller, no consciousness of the nose. Likewise, there is no taste, no taster, no consciousness of the tongue.

Excellent! Similarly, there is no object of touch, no toucher, and no consciousness of the body. Similarly, there is no realm of phenomena, no grasper, and no consciousness of the mind. Thus, the eye and so forth are also non-existent. Therefore, the precious suchness, which is separate from the eighteen elements, should be meditated upon by the yogi, by preventing ignorance and so forth. In the root tantra, the Bhagavan said: By preventing the changing ignorance, actions are definitely prevented. By definitely preventing this action, consciousness is prevented. By preventing consciousness, name and form are prevented. By preventing name and form, the six sense sources are also prevented. By preventing the six sense sources, contact is also prevented. By preventing contact, feeling is definitely prevented. By definitely preventing feeling, craving is also prevented. By definitely preventing craving, grasping is also prevented. By preventing grasping, existence is also prevented. By preventing existence, birth is definitely prevented. By preventing birth, aging and death are definitely prevented. By definitely preventing the aggregates and elements, that is said to be pacified. Thus, by preventing the body, the life-force wind is also prevented. By definitely preventing the life-force wind, the bodhicitta is prevented. By preventing the bodhicitta, outflows are definitely prevented. By preventing the moment of outflows, all yogis are Buddhas. Similarly, by preventing the afflictions, actions are also prevented. By preventing actions, sufferings are also prevented. By preventing sufferings, then afflictions will not arise again. When afflictions do not arise, actions are not born. When those are not born, sufferings also do not arise. The yogi, free from suffering and possessing happiness, always accomplishes the benefit of sentient beings. Sentient beings discriminate between the pleasant and the unpleasant, from which afflictions arise, and from that, actions are born. From actions, suffering arises, and without happiness, then from what will happiness arise, after completely abandoning the ten virtues?
