By obstructing the son and the cause, they are unborn and undying. By obstructing the cause and the result, how can one not become a Buddha? Yogis who are liberated from birth and death, see all. From the sugarcane staff, again a staff, the staff again becomes a staff. Likewise, merit from merit, evil again from evil. Like a bee from the exhaustion of a worm, likewise merit transforms from evil. Merit exhausts and becomes evil, like worms on a dead body. How to refine mercury? The state of mercury is said to be fivefold. Likewise, the wise should understand the mind of enlightenment in five states. Smoke, the sound of "chi-ti, chi-ti", frogs and offerings, trembling and non-trembling. The states of mercury are said to be five. Change and change, then dripping, non-dripping and other stainless. The mind of enlightenment of the meditator, transforms into five states. Like the attachment of cow dung ash for refining, how to hold mercury? By the attachment of skillful means for refining, the mind of enlightenment is held in that way. Not making mercury non-trembling, not making the mind stainless, not for the sake of the body, not for the sake of liberation, not for the sake of wealth, not for the sake of happiness. Like mercury piercing copper, again the copper does not change. Likewise, the body is pierced by wisdom, again it does not go to the animal realm. By the combination of excellent medicines, how does mercury devour iron? Non-trembling and transformed piercing, all the iron becomes gold. By the combination of emptiness and image, how do the elements devour bliss? The stainless seed of enlightenment, blesses the minds of others. The Victorious One takes away diseases, melting destroys poverty, transforming gives accomplishments, following the transformation is immortality. The same cause takes away old age, maturation gives glory. This male-maker obtains accomplishments, the stainless gives immortality. If one dies, ignorance enters, from that arises formations. That is said to be the first protector, with three faces and six arms. The immovable first entrant, from that arises consciousness. From that it transforms into name and form, from that the six senses.

What is self-nature? From these six sources arise, the form, vajra, etc., certainly arise. Eyes, etc., and forms, etc., once combined are touch. From this arises feeling, which is Ratnasambhava. Existence, enjoyment, self-nature is desire. From this, near birth occurs. From this, it is said to be near taking, stretching out hands and feet. From this, existence arises, the breath of the infant goes out. From this arises this perception, the infant constantly speaks in various ways. The body, etc., are blessed. These are fully examined. Again, actions should be known. After the teeth fall out, there is existence. When the infant is born, the mothers perform the initiation by bathing with water. The topknot is well established, fully regarded as a crest. From this, piercing the ears, etc., is said to be the silk thread initiation. The speech and laughter of the infant are the bell and vajra initiation. The fifth is the conduct of enjoyment, the name is the name initiation. Reading, etc., are always given by the fathers. Thus, in seven ways, it is well known as the seven initiations. Taking a wife is said to be the higher initiation. The emptiness of wisdom is said to be holding her hand. The equality of wisdom and means, from death it turns to bliss. Generating the body becomes approaching. Generating life is accomplishment. Twice-born, etc., are born again, it should be said to be near accomplishment. The equality of wisdom and means, the great accomplishment is Tama. Thus, the generation stage of arising changes. Death is said to be gathering. Aggregates, realms, and continuity have no change. Ignorance is the nature of change. All actions, etc., are expanding and gathering. Thus, in the root tantra. Here, the Blessed One said, let us explain the chapter on the ritual of the initiation of the deities. From the seed syllable of one's own heart, certainly emit light, black and blue light, having the shape of an iron hook. With these, invite all the Buddhas residing in the three realms, and offer perfectly to the eight mother goddesses, they should make supplication.
