Ro. Worldly people who are attached to me will keep the precepts. You have not become accustomed to the precepts because of the fear of falling into evil destinies, it will be said. For the happiness of gods and humans, sentient beings will keep the precepts. You have not achieved the state of laughter either, so you are not accustomed to the precepts. So why is that? It is said: Only with pure intention. This means a mind that is accustomed to virtue and pure in nature, liberated from sin. Similarly, in order not to be attached to me, the intention is also like that, and the only one is also like that, so it is only with pure intention. Intention is the collection of mind and mental events. Its purity is to save all sentient beings, born from immaculate wisdom, it is the unsurpassed Bodhi. I said that obtaining purity is: Someone unsurpassed Bodhi. This is half of the verse. For that, it means that reason. The meaning of purity is that the third is accomplished in the sense of cause. For example, because of begging, one abides, it can be understood through the cause of begging, similarly, here also through the cause of a pure mind. The meaning of precepts is to return from non-conduct and receive it as it is. The meaning of habit is to become nature. Thus, having explained the perfection of the precepts through perfect intention, in order to show the perfection of the application, the verses such as constantly abandoning deceit will be explained: Constantly abandoning deceit, constantly relying on the upright and steadfast, with completely pure actions, you become the only foundation. Actions arising from falsehood are deceit. The person associated with this is also a hypocrite. Constantly abandoning those means constantly and completely abandoning. The upright and steadfast are virtuous actions. For this, the person of application is also upright and steadfast. Constantly relying on those means extremely relying. From those causes what

If asked about the change of 'Ra', the answer is: 'With completely pure actions, etc.' The meaning of 'actions' has already been explained. 'Completely pure' refers to virtue. In 'become the sole foundation', 'foundation' refers to the path. 'Sole' is combined with 'you', referring to 'the sole Bhagavan'. Because it is the foundation, its essence is the sole foundation. 'Become' means to obtain, its meaning is: you are one who transcends the world, and you, through these two causes, have become the sole path of pure actions. These two verses, after praising the perfection of discipline, are spoken to praise the perfection of patience: 'When afflicted by many sufferings, you, with a virtuous mind, endure the afflictions, and cherish sentient beings with afflictions.' 'Afflicted by many' means vast. 'Afflicted' means enduring the suffering of having limbs severed for the benefit of sentient beings. 'Many' means many times. 'You' refers to the Bhagavan. 'With a virtuous mind' means with the power of compassion, with a completely pure mind. 'What did you do?' The answer is: 'Endure the afflictions.' Among them, 'afflictions' refers to desire, etc. Enduring them means manifesting power. 'I will destroy the afflictions of those who harm me', this refers to contemplation. 'If a Bodhisattva considers the afflictions in the continuum of an executioner to be the cause of patience, then why should those afflictions be offered to, and why be angered in order to destroy them?' The answer is: although that is true, if enemies, due to the power of afflictions, harm an object like me, then they will certainly become sinners. Therefore, in order to have enemies abandon afflictions through the power of compassion, one becomes angry. For example, some threaten spirits with the intention of benefiting, but not those possessed by spirits.

It is so. For that reason it is said: Compassionate to sentient beings with afflictions. The so-called sentient beings refer to vultures and the like that devour eyes and other things. The so-called afflicted ones are those who are controlled by afflictions. Because of that reason, compassion is to generate the mind for the sake of destroying the afflictions of those enemies. Even if it is the cause of the perfection of patience, it is also an offering for generating the suffering of others, and also for those sentient beings who are the root of afflictions, not generating strife, therefore, this verse explains patience. The second circumstance of patience will be explained: You, for the sake of others, gave up your life and rejoiced, such a thing has not happened even to those beings who have been resurrected from death. The so-called giving up life for the sake of others, the so-called benefit of others, is for the sake of benefiting others. Giving up is giving up. Life is life. Joy is what makes you feel happy in your heart. For example, when the young Naga with the conch-shell crest gradually came and approached, seeing that he was being devoured by the Garuda, in order to save him, the youth Cloud Rider, who had become a Bodhisattva, offered himself to the Garuda. Similarly, the one who became King Moonlight also offered his head and offered it to the one called the fierce Brahmin's eye. The so-called not being like that refers to joy. The so-called death and so on refers to the resurrection from the previous death, the former period being included in the latter period, just like destruction and birth. For those who do not expect life, how can they obtain life, which is death and resurrection. The lives of sentient beings become like that, and for those sentient beings, it is impossible to rejoice like that, you give up your life for the sake of others, this is the summarized meaning. Thus, in this situation, since the executioners have not abandoned the creation of sins, therefore, the executioners are the cause of generating patience, therefore, you want the perfection of patience, therefore you offer even your own life.
