Or, the word "like that" is used for cause. For example, like this, rain falls and flows. Therefore, here too, because one does not know the limit of the Tathagata's qualities and does not praise, then the noble Shariputra, who is the chief of the wise, will not praise the Bhagavan either, which means because of that cause. In the saying "objects like countless," "number" means that it cannot be completely determined. The Tathagata's wisdom is uncountable, because its object is not the realm of practice of the wisdom of solitary Buddhas and noble Shravakas. The saying "although qualities are known" means even after knowing. At what time did the Buddha Bhagavan generate the intention to transcend the world, at that time even the Shravakas and solitary Buddhas could not understand the Bhagavan's mind with their minds, this is the scripture. That which has countless objects is called countless objects, because it is all-pervading. Therefore, I cannot praise. The meaning of "although countless qualities are known" has already been explained. In the saying "one aspect of that is diligently spoken," one aspect of those qualities is a part, and the diligence there is to strive for praise. Is there any slight benefit to the Bhagavan in this way? In response, it is said that respect for one's own benefit is to praise the Bhagavan by striving for one's own benefit. Because neither praise nor blame can make the Bhagavan attached or angry. These three verses, because they do not know the limit of qualities, but only strive for their own benefit with a part, thus began the praise of the Bhagavan, this is the explanation. Now, first pay homage to the teacher, ༄། །Going to explain entering the praise of beings, so-called "Whose merits and numbers, and power have no end, possessing wonderful deeds immeasurable, self-born one, I prostrate to you," this is the broad meaning. Self-born means that without being instructed by others, one has already comprehended the characteristics of all knowable things, therefore becoming all-knowing, this is the self-born one.
