Knowing that they would not have the opportunity to see the Buddha, the Blessed One also approached the monastery and slept on a grass mat at Radrod. The cowherd also said to Lakakhan, the monastery dweller: "The one who liberated you from the demon is sleeping at Radrod." When Lakakhan heard this, without looking at the blue city, he went to the Tathagata with reverence, prostrated, and asked: "In this region, when the wind blows, is the Blessed One sleeping on a grass mat at Radrod?" The Blessed One replied: "Lakakhan, some other worldly people sleep for pleasure, but I am different from them, because I do not have the suffering of desire, hatred, and ignorance. Even those who are full of suffering such as desire, even if they sleep on a soft bed, they will fall asleep with suffering." Thus, by teaching him the Dharma, the householder Lakakhan truly saw the truth. Although you, the protector, are the lord, for the sake of compassion for those who need to be tamed, you also change your bodily posture, stone-like attitude, voice, and attire. Bodily posture, stone-like attitude, etc., refer to disrespect. For example, the Blessed One stayed in the house of the monastery owner, and when he appeared outside the monastery, that person also came and said: "Practitioner, go away!" The Blessed One left, because he was controlled by others. He said: "Bhikshu, come in!" The Blessed One entered, because he had no arrogance or pride. Thus, humility based on beings and the body is explained. Changing voice and attire refers to abandoning the attire of the Buddha and adopting other attire, such as the attire of playing the lute to please others, and the attire of an old potter, etc. Abandoning noble speech, in order to teach the Dharma to those worldly guardians who know barbarian languages, another language called Dabphi Dabphi was used. Humility based on speech is the speech of

It is because of fatigue. Because of doing such beneficial things, calling you "Protector" is Tibetan. Those who are to be tamed are only those who are to be tamed. Loving them is great compassion, and for that reason, it is loving those who are to be tamed. In this way, the reason for doing difficult things is explained here. "Even though you have become the main one" refers to the main one who enters the city of Nirvana, which is peaceful and without the residue of aggregates. You also partake of inferior food. Like this, not only did you do difficult things and so on, but also, everyone rejoices for their own benefit, and like a servant, they strive to surround you. Protector, you always, even to yourself, do not have autonomy. It is said like this. Autonomy is freedom. The meaning of "Protector you" has already been explained. "Always" means constantly, and it is used together with "do not have autonomy." How is oneself explained as one's own body? The answer is, because it is said "like a servant." "Worthy of offering with words" refers to a servant, explained as being under the control of others. "Like" is a metaphor. "Everyone" refers to sentient beings. "Also" means "for what reason." "Rejoicing" means as desired. "Self-interest" is for one's own benefit. "Surrounding" is surrounding, for the sake of protection. The explanation is like this: just as a certain servant surrounds as desired for his own benefit, you are also surrounded by everyone as desired for their own benefit. Therefore, Protector, you always, even to yourself, do not have autonomy. How is "everyone rejoices for their own benefit" to be understood? The answer is: no matter when or where you are, no matter how you are urged, you do not abandon, and there is no time when you transcend your own good practice. "You, no matter when or where" is an extensive explanation. "No matter how" refers to a Brahmin or one with moles or a poor person or a rich person or a happy person or a suffering person. "When and where" is the seventh reason, in order to liberate from the lower realms, and in order to place in the good realms. "No matter how" refers to without "saying." "Urging" refers to
