Ah! Righteous sage, your doctrine, so perfectly spread in the world, what greater suffering is there than for those who disrespect it? So perfectly spread in the world. As it is said and so on, wherein "so" refers to what is summarized by verses such as self-mastery. "Perfectly spread" is because it is the source of benefits. "Doctrine perfectly spread" means certainly perfectly, truly, spread, combined with your doctrine. The righteous one refers to the Arhat. Their holy one refers to the guide and the chief. The doctrine has been previously mentioned. The disrespectful one refers to the non-believer. "What" refers to what is commonly used in the sense of "what". "What" refers to existence. "Great suffering" refers to the meaning of extremely damaged self-interest. "From this" refers to coming from the disrespectful one. The meaning of what is said is: the root of perfect spread, because of disrespecting your doctrine, therefore the great meaning of the outsiders themselves is damaged. This is the explanation of the praise of the doctrine. The explanation of the praise of the doctrine, chapter eight is completed. Chapter Nine Explanation of the Praise of Aspiration ༄། The praise of aspiration refers to the aspiration made by the Bhagavan in the past: Seeing or hearing or remembering, touching or the near conduct of speech, may all benefit beings, may they be endowed with happiness, may they accomplish it greatly. As it is and so on. Its fruit and accompanying things will be explained: Hearing your name brings joy, seeing you brings faith, hearing your voice brings delight, the doctrine makes one liberated. Hearing your name brings joy. As it is said and so on, "hearing" refers to hearing, that is, the sound of "Buddha". Bringing joy refers to generating faith from seeing. For example, the householder Anathapindika had not previously heard the sound of "Buddha", and upon hearing it, he rejoiced and his hairs stood on end, thereby generating faith in the doctrine. Therefore, the Bhagavan can transform in this way merely by hearing, this is the aspiration with its fruition.

The mat! Because it is the nature of satisfying the near-poor beings, etc., joy arises, which is to generate faith; seeing is to make manifest. Thus, seeing will benefit, that is the meaning. Being delighted by the voice of teaching the Dharma means causing the listener to generate joy. Thus, the noble Shravakas, by properly listening to the Dharma, will generate joy, as well as calm the mind, and turn towards Nirvana, which is the word of the Sutra. Liberation is from the bonds of afflictions. The so-called "teaching" is the noble path. Furthermore, even if the Dharma is not taught, your son will be pleased, growth will also make beings rejoice, departure is benefit, return is decline, your son will also be pleased. This is called growth. The son is born from the womb, and he is pleased because the Bodhisattva is born, so Indra and others generate joy. Or, obtaining Bodhi is the son, and he also ultimately achieves happiness in the same way, so he is pleased, which means that the Bodhisattva further realizes immortality, so Indra and others are pleased. Growth is many Shravakas, so beings also rejoice, which means making the world perfect. Monks, when newly ordained Shravakas practice in the place of practice, it is beneficial to many people, happiness to many people, etc., that is how it is said. Departure is the Bhagavan's departure, and his benefit is to accomplish all benefits. When the Bhagavan goes to the city of the place of practice, the high places will become low, the low places will become high, the blind will regain sight, the deaf will regain hearing, and the mute will regain language, this is the scripture. Return is when the Bhagavan completely enters Nirvana, that decline is the beings losing their own benefit.

Therefore. Furthermore, proclaiming eliminates sins. Remembering you brings joy. Seeking generates wisdom. Fully knowing purifies completely. Proclaiming eliminates sins. In mentioning such things, proclaiming is praising virtues. Because it eliminates sins, it is called eliminating sins. Because it is the Bhagavan who possesses such virtues, speaking is incidental. Approaching and connecting with such words is called benefiting, which is seeing. Remembering refers to such a Bhagavan, the Tathagata, Goner, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha. You are you. Joy is making joyful. Thus, remembering the form of the Tathagata, the noble Shravakas quickly attain meaning, quickly attain Dharma, and attain joy associated with the Tathagata. These are the words of the Sutra. Thus, remembering and recollecting benefits, as it is said. Furthermore, in all circumstances, combining as it is benefits beings and combines with the Bhagavan. Seeking means seeking only the teacher. As the highly ordained one said to the Brahmin of pure lineage, for example, a man going to the elephant forest enters the elephant forest and sees the elephant's footprints in that great forest, he will surely recognize: Alas, whose elephant's footprints are these? Similarly, alas, one with the form of a human does not have four feet, who is like that? It is the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, Gautama, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, etc., as said in the Sutra of Brahmin words. Similarly, after seeking, by following and returning, it is determined that it is only the teacher, which is said to be fully known. Because after knowing, faith is obtained. Complete purification is to remove the defilement of afflictions. Furthermore, welcoming you brings glory, relying on you makes wisdom supreme, relying on you makes you fearless, and reverently serving you brings happiness. Welcoming you brings glory. This is
