It means to receive with joy, like nectar. Others have completely abandoned the words of offense, like poison, from those who only speak ill. Thus, through these three aspects, the purity of the Prajnaparamita is shown, and then its increase will be explained: (Verse) "O Jewel Heart, when you measure with the life of good speech, in those rebirths again and again, you show courage for the sake of Bodhi." "O Jewel Heart," this phrase should be connected with "you measure." O Jewel Heart, the so-called "knowing the Jewel Heart" is because good speech alone is difficult to obtain, so it is a jewel, and the essence of these jewels is the unsurpassed Bodhi. The so-called "knowing it" is calling "knowing the Jewel Heart." If asked, what is used to measure? The answer is, not only with wealth and gold, but also with life. What is measured? The answer is, good speech. For example, the World Honored One, in order to seek good speech, became frustrated because he had not heard the Dharma, so from Indra, who held the guise of a Yaksha, (Verse) "Practicing the Dharma should be practiced well, if practiced, then it should not be practiced, in this world and the other world, practicing the Dharma brings peaceful sleep." For this verse, he offered his own body to exchange for it. What did he do? The answer is, "showed courage," meaning to focus on diligence. For what purpose? The answer is, for Bodhi, that is, for the cause of Bodhi. The so-called rebirth and those rebirths refer to continuous rebirth in the five realms of samsara. Here, the Jataka tales of Prince Sattva and the Deer King can be taken as examples. "Then in three countless eons," this is a praise of the vast cause, briefly explained. "Then in three countless eons, when you were so diligent, only diligence became a friend, and you attained the unsurpassed state." The word "so" means suchness, or it refers to the manner. Therefore, in addition to the Paramitas, one should also take faith and other virtues. "In three countless eons" refers to great eons.

Through the three immeasurables. "Thus striving" means acting according to the teachings as explained. "With diligence alone as a friend." Diligence is diligence itself. Whoever has only that as a friend is one who has diligence alone as a friend, not like elephants and horses. Therefore, it is connected with "you who have diligence alone as a friend." What is to be done? It is said, "Attained the unsurpassed state," meaning manifested. "State" means place. What is it like? It is explained, "Unsurpassed" means that in which there is no distinction of being surpassed, that is unsurpassed, meaning the wisdom of the Thus-Gone One. Thus, this is said to be praising the cause of the Blessed One with the six perfections. The explanation of praising the cause, chapter two is finished. Chapter Three: Explanation of Praising the Unequaled ༄། Now, praising the result with three aspects, for a while, praising from the unequaled, from that, by what cause is the state of being unequaled, and by what aspect, and with what is it called unequaled, there are three divisions. Among them, by what cause is the state of being unequaled attained? By the verse: "Not jealous of the high," that should be explained. Not jealous of the high, not attached to the low, not having rivalry with the equal, therefore you are the lord of the world. Most worldly people are jealous of those who possess distinctions such as learning and morality, meaning they cannot tolerate the virtues of others. Not attached to the inferior is the mind of attachment, and rivalry with the equal is mutual oppression. The Blessed One, even in the state of a Bodhisattva, was not jealous of the high, because of upholding all virtues. Not being attached to the inferior is also because of truly bestowing virtues upon them. Not having rivalry with the equal is because of making the virtues that have been newly taken stable. Rivalry becomes an obstacle. By those three causes, you, meaning the Blessed One, the worl

Being the main object of reliance means attaining the state of being unparalleled. Thus, for the moment, because of not having jealousy and so on, the state of being unparalleled is explained. Then, "You are on the causes of merit," etc., to explain other causes in an extensive way. You are on the causes of merit, manifestly delighted, not on the fruits. By that very authentic practice, your qualities have reached the other shore. Worldly people are manifestly attached to the fruits of qualities, but not to their causes. The Bhagavan is a Bodhisattva, and even with desire, he is less than the fruit, but manifest attachment to the causes is done by seeking and contemplating them. What are the causes of what? It is said: Merit is the meaning of meditation and equipoise, etc. "Not" is connected with manifest attachment. To what? It is said: To the fruits, which are the bliss of meditation and equipoise, etc. Or, to miracles, etc. "By that very" refers to the continuum and the manifest attachment to the causes of qualities, etc. You have reached the other shore of merit, which is connected with "by that very." In what way? It is said: "Practicing authentically" means by the authentic path, and in the way of benefiting others. "You" refers to the Bhagavan. "Reached the other shore" means excellence. Merit is meditation, etc., and "reached" means attained. These two verses explain that the Bodhisattva's first stage does not have jealousy, etc., and that the Bhagavan, who attained enlightenment through manifest attachment to the causes of qualities and manifest attachment to the fruits, is unparalleled, which is explained here. In the intermediate stage, it explains the elimination of devotion to inferiority, because Bodhisattvas who are devoted to inferiority say this: Listen! Afflictions are harmful, the state of the Sage is difficult to achieve, and contentment for the sake of attaining Buddhahood is eliminated. Then, by the power of compassion for sentient beings, even the dust of your feet, virtue.
