If it is said that it is not done because of the control of afflictions such as attachment, therefore it is said "with attachment" and so on. If this is the case, then among those who have attachment and those who do not have attachment, which one should be offered and respected here? Please discern and think and then speak. Therefore, it is clear that the one who has compassion and is free from attachment should be offered. If someone strives to harm others, then "Hundred Giving" etc. are mentioned. Hundred Giving means ability, because it has the ability to kill enemies, so it is Hundred Giving. It should be known that it harms others. Moreover, it is for holding the vajra, because those who have compassion do not hold weapons to kill others. What is the cause of the vajra's arising has been said before. "Powerful" means powerful. "Holding a plow" means holding a plow on a weapon. That is also because of the reason of vying for nectar, a great war broke out between the gods and the asuras. At that time, Hundred Giving held the vajra, Skem-byed (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) held a short spear, and the powerful one held a plow. Among them, the powerful one is the incarnation of the dragon king Norbu Gya, who is the one who holds the earth, and it is said that the function of the plow is very large. Regarding the meaning of "Pervading Lord Holding the Wheel", the reason for the wheel's arising has been said before. Skem-byed (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is Kartika, and is also known as the six-faced one. It is said that he held a short spear, and it was heard that the asura Mahe, by practicing five hundred years of asceticism, satisfied the great god, and obtained a short spear from it to kill men. He and the gods were very depressed. The gods prayed to Uma, saying: Even though you are a woman, he has obtained this weapon to kill men, which makes us very painful, please try to make him lose it. Then, she satisfied the great god through asceticism and obtained the trident.

And then, when they fought and struck with the trident, as many drops of blood as came from the body of the buffalo transformed by the goddess, that many Asura buffaloes were transformed. Because of the falling of the dust particles from the forehead of the goddess Uma, as many drops as fell on the ground, those also became flesh-eating, extremely terrifying forms. They devoured the blood drops in the sky, and when that Asura was killed, his short spear was obtained, and Khemaka raised it and gave the short spear to Khemaka. The great god is the great fierce god, that is: Whoever burns like fire, whoever devours hard stakes, devours meat, bones, and blood, etc., is therefore called fierce. Thus it is said. The so-called holding the trident weapon means that the great god used the bones of Dadijé, the trident weapon made by the one who accomplishes all deeds, was given by the gods, so it is said. Others say that when the triple city was burned, the gods prayed to the great god, and when he took up the weapon, the sages of the gods came with the bones of Dadijé, the Nagas came with the turtle skull that was the foundation, and the people came with the vajra, and then the one who accomplishes all deeds made the trident from these three and gave it to the great god, they say so. Dwelling in the charnel ground means that the great fierce god dwells in the charnel ground. In order to control all the gods, those and so on were said, those refer to Indra and so on. What are those like? Because they arise from ignorance, they are called children, as it is said in the scriptures, monks are called children because of their actions of evil thoughts, evil speech, and evil deeds. What else are they like? They are without compassion, meaning they are without pity and cruel. Those who are not cruel and untamed do not destroy others. Because they are so cruel, those hold various weapons, therefore they are holders of various weapons, holding many various and different kinds of weapons.

English

Yes. Those also possess suffering and so on. Suffering means the immediate affliction of body and mind. Fear is because the mind drains away due to the fear of future suffering, and one becomes dejected. These two cause it to be threatened and closely afflicted. Thus, those without the harm of suffering and fear have no need to carry weapons in order to harm others. If one carries weapons to threaten others, but not to kill, then, therefore, it is said, "always," and so on. Always, constantly striving to destroy and kill sentient beings and creatures, one carries weapons. Who among the wise, possessing wisdom and distinguishing between merits and faults, would bow down and prostrate to such a one? This shows that they are not worthy of prostration. In order to show that the Blessed One is worthy of offering because he does not possess the faults mentioned above, it is said, "who," and so on. The trident is carried to destroy enemies, and similarly, because of attachment, one does not place a young wife under one's arm, that is, does not keep her on one's lap. If it is said that there is no fault in holding a girl on one's lap, then, one does not possess desire and attachment like the Great Lord, nor does one dwell under one's arm, nor does one carry a wheel like Vishnu, nor does one carry a short club like Yama, nor does one destroy enemies with a vajra and carry thunderbolts like Indra, nor does one carry a plow like Bala. Why does he not carry these weapons? Because he is liberated from afflictions, meaning that he is certainly liberated and completely abandoned from the collection of afflictions such as desire. "The wise strive to benefit others," means that they strive to accomplish the needs of others and possess great compassion. "Become refuge" means worthy of being a refuge. Who is worthy of being a refuge? It is the people of the world. Why worthy of being a refuge
