That is what is desired by that. Regarding "you" and so on, if it is said to be permanent, then it is not a cause; if it is a cause, then it is not permanent. The words "permanent" and "cause" are inseparable. Here, it should be said like this: whatever becomes a cause is impermanent, like seeds and so on. Therefore, it should be known that the person who is considered the cause of those things is impermanent. Whatever is called permanent does not have a cause, like space and so on. If the permanent is the cause itself, then it becoming permanent contradicts the valid means of cognition. Something that is permanent and unchanging, and something that has become a cause but is called permanent, such a thing does not exist at all; you are saying that there is nothing. Here it is said: If it is permanent, then what is its cause? If it does not perish, then how is it a cause? Permanent and cause, these two should not be mixed together. Whoever considers the permanent to be a cause, that is not permanent. Because its action cannot be found in any way. If the action will happen, if it does not happen, then it is also impermanent, and that will become a fault because of that. That is what is said. Regarding "the great poisonous one" and so on, it is heard like this: there were two Asura brothers named Wind-obtained and Earth-lord, Wind-obtained transformed into a stout body, and Earth-lord transformed into the appearance of a human, and then invited the sages as guests, slaughtered Wind-obtained, and provided a grand feast, offering food, and when they were eating, Earth-lord went outside and shouted: Son Wind-obtained, where are you? Come here! Immediately after that, whoever had eaten Wind-obtained had their stomachs ripped open. This action left only a few remaining of the sage lineage and the Brahmin lineage. The sacrifices of the gods would also be exhausted. Then the gods gathered together and went to the abode of the great sage Agata, and prayed for the purpose of killing those two Asuras. After some time, those two invited him as a guest, and he ate food there, son
