That pure conduct which is free from the stain of defilement is without fault. In "Brahmins, etc.," giving and receiving is giving and taking, because the two exist equally, so it is said to be giving and receiving. What is it? It is said to be "speaking of transference." How is it? It is said to be "virtue and vice, etc.," virtue is merit, which is righteous conduct; vice is non-merit, which is wrong conduct. The transference of virtue and vice is transformation. Who says this? It is said to be "Brahmins, etc.," meaning sages, etc. That is, just as gold and grain, food and drink, etc., are given to others and received from others, so too are merit and demerit similar to that. That is, the Brahmins say this: taking the sins of killing Brahmins, etc., from others will be transferred, and merit is the same, this is their tenet. In "you, etc.," if that is the case, then what is done will be in vain, because having done good conduct and bad conduct, ripening and not ripening will be in vain, because the ripening is given to others. Encountering not having done good conduct and not having done bad conduct will also be a fault, because one enjoys the pleasant and unpleasant results done by others. Therefore, those are not reasonable, because if what is done by others is enjoyed by others, then why wouldn't the son be full just because the father ate the food? If one's own realization arises in another, then how wouldn't one hold and understand all the scriptures by just hearing the scriptures once? If transference exists, why would it transfer from realization itself? Others do not do good for the sake of the teachings, what is done by others will not follow this. May it be auspicious! What is done by others will not follow this. Having obtained it oneself, what is done will not be in vain, the result of what is not done will not be established. What is not done is never done, it does not change to happiness from what is not done. There is no path to go there, therefore strive to do good. Thus it is said.

O! As for "Samkhya is my nature," etc., "my nature" means the nature of a person. "Having knowledge" means having realization, completely imputing it as the nature of wisdom, it is realizing the nature of a person who has knowledge. Moreover, in the first kalpa, there appeared a sage named Samkhya, who was the one who composed the treatises on Samkhya. His disciples were also called Samkhyas, because they were the sons of Samkhya, so the disciples were called sons. What the Samkhyas completely imputed is a commitment, this is unreasonable, so it is only an imputation, thus it is declared. As for "you," etc., if you make such a commitment, then I will become impermanent, unstable, and momentary destruction, Protector, you have taught this. Moreover, they claim that a person has mind and is permanent, it is unreasonable to make such a commitment. Moreover, because first the eye faculty will know form, at that time the person will know sound, etc. If it is a knowing form and is permanent, then it will always know the object form, therefore for sound, etc., it will become like a deaf and mute person, but there is no such situation in the world. Or other faculties will know form, and sometimes they will know other sounds, etc., this will become very clear to have knowledge, there will be faults such as change. Here it is said: How can one speak of a person who possesses all the permanent and changing objects? If it depends on other causes, how can it be permanent? Whatever is slightly realized, all of that is not a firm master. If I am impermanent like a pot, then it should be like a rabbit's horn. What is the ability of the action of meaning? That meaning exists as the ultimate meaning. Without and momentarily becoming its nature, sequential and non-sequential are contradictory. These are the reasons, etc. "Eating leftovers" means the great sage. "Wisdom" means the nature of realization, the qualities possessed for the benefit of others.
