The Black Tra (Tibetan: ཏྲ་ནག་པོ་, Tra nag po), one-faced and two-armed, holds an iron hook in his right hand and a skull cup filled with blood in his left. He is adorned with a black silk robe and skirt. From 'Trih' (Tibetan: ཏྲིཿ, seed syllable) arises the black Bhata (Tibetan: བྷ་ཊ་, Bha Ta), wearing a tiger skin skirt, holding a wet wooden staff in his right hand and a human heart in his left. From 'Bhyo' (Tibetan: བྷྱོཿ, seed syllable) arises the blood-eyed sister (Tibetan: སྲིང་མོ་ཁྲག་མིག་མ་), flames blazing from her mouth, holding a razor in her right hand and human intestines in her left, wearing a five-colored silk garment. There are also five dark blue Dakinis, extremely wrathful, adorned with bone ornaments and human heads as headdresses, wearing necklaces of wet blood dripping from the intestines of enemies and obstructors. In addition, there are eight hundred male guides on the right side wearing tiger skins, eight hundred female Bhikshunis on the left side holding Karsils (musical instruments), eight hundred black mantra practitioners holding Phurbas in the back, and eight hundred black naked women guiding the dead in the front. Furthermore, there are countless messengers such as black birds, black dogs, jackals, and black people, all with 'Om' (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal meaning: Perfection) on their foreheads, 'Ah' (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal meaning: Generation) on their throats, and 'Hum' (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Immovable) on their hearts. In the center of the heart, on the sun disc, the syllables 'Hum' (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Immovable), 'Bhyo' (Tibetan: བྷྱོཿ, seed syllable), 'Yam' (Tibetan: ཡཾ, seed syllable), 'Mam' (Tibetan: མཾ, seed syllable), 'Trih' (Tibetan: ཏྲིཿ, seed syllable), 'Trih' (Tibetan: ཏྲིཿ, seed syllable), and 'Bhyo' (Tibetan: བྷྱོཿ, seed syllable) emit light, inviting the Protector (Tibetan: མགོན་པོ་, mgon po) from the palace of Vairochana (Tibetan: རྣམ་པར་སྣང་མཛད་, rnam par snang mdzad) in Akanishta (Tibetan: འོག་མིན་, Og min), Bodh Gaya (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་གདན, rdo rje gdan) in India, and Sakya Monastery (Tibetan: ས་སྐྱའི་གཙུག་ལག་ཁང་, sa skya'i gtsug lag khang). Invite the goddesses from the palaces of the Thirty-Three Gods (Tibetan: སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གསུམ་, sum cu rtsa gsum), and the Karma Lord and his retinue from the natural abodes. Recite 'Vajra Samaja' (Tibetan: བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿ, vajra samājaḥ) and strike the hand drum. Join the palms with the center hollow, tucking the thumbs inside, forming the Protector's Samaya Mudra. Wave the fingers or the Vajra, and shake the bell. Recite: 'Hum, all Protectors, please descend upon this seat!' (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་མགོན་པོ་ཀུན་གཤེགས་གདན་ལ་བཞེངས།, hūṃ mgon po kun gshegs gdan la bzhengs) Now is the time of the five degenerations, even though it is an evil place to descend and reside, in order to protect the teachings of Shakyamuni and to benefit us, please descend to this place!' Slightly cross the fingers of both hands, forming the Vajra-joined palms, placing the two index fingers on the back of the middle fingers, forming the Goddess's Samaya Mudra, wave or hold the Vajra bell. Recite: 'All Goddesses, please descend!' (Tibetan: ལྷ་མོ་ཀུན་གཤེགས, lha mo kun gshegs) Now is the time of the five degenerations, even though it is an evil place to descend and reside, in order to protect the teachings of Shakyamuni and to benefit us, please descend to this place!' Again, form the Protector's Samaya Mudra and wave, or hold the bell. Recite: 'All Karma Lords, please descend!' (Tibetan: ལས་མགོན་ཀུན་གཤེགས, las mgon kun gshegs) Now is the time of the five degenerations, even though it is an evil place to descend and reside, in order to protect the teachings of Shakyamuni and to benefit us, please descend to this place!' Recite: 'Om Shri Mahakala, Mahakali Devi, with your retinue, come here! Vajra Samaja, Jah Jah Hum Bam Hoh!' (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཤྲཱི་མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལཱ་ཡ། མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལི་དེ་ཝཱི། ས་པ་རི་ཝཱ་ར་ཨེ་ཧྱེ་ཧི། བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿཛཿཧཱུྃ་བཾ་ཧོཿ, oṃ śrī mahākālāya mahākālī devī saparivāra ehyehi vajra samājaḥ jaḥ jaḥ hūṃ baṃ hoḥ) Merge into non-dual wisdom. Offer the lotus seat. Recite: 'Om, Argham, Padyam, Pushpam, Dhupam, Aloke, Gandhe!'
