Therefore, in order to accomplish the root of all these, the profound empowerment, which is divided into two stages: the preliminary and the main practice. The preliminary Dharma wheel and so on have temporarily concluded yesterday, and now we enter the main practice stage. This includes two aspects: the actions of the guru and the actions of the disciples. The guru's actions involve practicing in the manner of the great mudra, where the deity and the mandala are inseparable, and then emanating from the heart of the main guru, transforming into a Heruka (Tibetan: ཧེ་རུ་ཀ་, Heruka) with one face and two arms, offering the torma (Tibetan: གཏོར་མ་, Sanskrit: bali, Romanized Sanskrit: bali, literal meaning: food offering) to the protectors outside, confessing transgressions internally, and then the guru himself must receive the empowerment given to the disciples in the manner of self-entry. It is necessary to please the dakinis, Dharma protectors, and guardian deities with torma offerings, completing all the rituals. After that, it is your responsibility—the disciples' actions—which include entering the mandala and receiving empowerment after entering. Now is the stage of entering the mandala. Entering the mandala is further divided into outer and inner entry. First is the questioning of the outer entry: 'Child, what do you come here for? Speak what you desire.' Then answer: 'O fortunate one, I desire great bliss, I desire to enter the secret mandala.' Repeat once. Then is the statement of the power of truth: the guru stands up, rings the bell, and recites three times: 'All phenomena are like images.' Next, in order to allow you to enter, visualize that you have not seen before, or even if you have seen, you are seeing again the great mandala of Bhagavan Vajrakumara, and tightly bind your faces with red khatas (Tibetan: དར་ཡུག་, a type of silk). Recite: Om Cakṣu Bandha Varamaṇaya Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཙཀྵུ་བནྡྷ་ཝ་ར་མ་ཎ་ཡ་ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit: Om cakṣu bandha varamaṇaya hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: Om cakṣu bandha varamanaya hum, literal meaning: Om, bind the eyes... Hum). When the veils are removed, you see the mandala deities, and you cannot meet them empty-handed, so visualize offering large bunches of flowers such as Udumbara. Recite: Āḥ Khaṃ Vīra Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཨཱ་ཁཾ་བི་ར་ཧཱུྃ་, Sanskrit: āḥ khaṃ vīra hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: ah kham vira hum, literal meaning: Ah, emptiness, hero, Hum), offering Champaka flowers. Visualize the emanation of Amritakundalin (Tibetan: ཁྲོ་བོ་བདུད་རྩི་འཁྱིལ་བ་, Sanskrit: Amṛtakuṇḍalin, Romanized Sanskrit: Amritakundalin, literal meaning: Nectar coiled) from the hearts of the guru and the deity, as well as countless gatekeepers, in order to empower you, dispelling all external obstacles and evil guidance. Recite: Om Vajra Yakṣiṇī (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཡཀྵི་ཎི་, Sanskrit: oṃ vajra yakṣiṇī, Romanized Sanskrit: om vajra yakshini, literal meaning: Om, Vajra Yakshini) and other mantras of the four gatekeepers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recite the mantras such as Amrita (Tibetan: ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अमृत, Sanskrit Romanization: Amrita, Chinese literal meaning: Nectar), and sprinkle water from the vase with Kusha grass. In this way, protect all external obstacles, and visualize bestowing nectar and protecting all internal obstacles. Recite 'Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: Om, Chinese literal meaning: Om), Ah (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: Āḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Ah), Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: Hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum),' and give from the nectar prepared earlier. In this way, protect all external and internal obstacles, and for the sake of generating the inner Bodhicitta, please visualize in this way. In your hearts, visualize the essence of relative Bodhicitta, like a full moon mandala, completely perfect, and upon it is the nature of ultimate Bodhicitta, a five-pronged white Vajra, radiating intense light, generating Bodhicitta with the mind of the indivisibility of the two truths. Please repeat: 'Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: Om, Chinese literal meaning: Om) Sarva Yoga Citta Utpadaya Mi (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning)'. Visualize the Guru placing the Vajra in your heart and making it stable. Then, touch the Vajra in the disciple's heart and recite 'Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: Om, Chinese literal meaning: Om) Surate,' etc. After that, in order to request the teachings that lead to the inseparability of the Guru and Vajrakumara, please offer a Mandala. After offering the Mandala in this way, please repeat the prayer three times: 'The Guru is the same as all Buddhas,' etc. These are the external entrances. The beginning of the internal entrance, for you to enter the Mandala, the Guru needs to pray to the deities of the Mandala. Recite 'The abode of all Tathagatas,' etc. three times. The Guru rises, takes off his hat, and rings the bell and Vajra. The attendant removes the curtains, etc. Then, visualize that you are holding the Vajra in the Guru's hand and entering from the eastern gate of the Mandala. Bow your head slightly towards the direction of the Mandala and repeat: 'Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: Hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) Jāḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: Hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum)'. Then, the Guru recites 'Jāḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: Hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) Bam (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) Hoḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning),' thereby awakening the mind-streams of the four gatekeepers, opening the gates in sequence, and visualizing being led to the presence of the main deity. Again, circumambulate the Mandala clockwise, and as you sit down from the east gate, visualize prostrating with body, speech, and mind to the Mandala of the fifty-one deities of Vajrakumara, and repeat: 'All Buddhas of the three times,' etc., reciting one verse. Having entered the Mandala in this way, and having properly received the empowerment, you must keep all vows and commitments. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
