If it is thought that the Buddhas do not have effort, then what is the reason that the activity (186) is continuous? Just as Indra and others do not have effort, but benefit others by appearing as images, etc., the Buddhas are also like that, without any effort of conceptualization, etc., from the beginning, they abide in the manifestation of the Dharmakaya, which is without birth and death, and until the infinite existence of the cycle of samsara of the beings to be tamed is not exhausted, they show the manifestation of the body, speak the teachings with speech, and pervade with the wisdom and compassion of the mind, etc. These spontaneously accomplished activities will continue without interruption. This is what was said above. Although similar, there are two aspects of superiority. Brief explanation: These nine metaphors are used to symbolize the activity of the Buddha, and the brief meaning of these metaphors will be explained in the treatises to be explained below. Moreover, the reason for determining the order of explaining the latter metaphors after the former metaphors will also be explained. That is to say, the former metaphors cannot completely symbolize the activity of the Buddha, and for the dissimilar dharmas, the latter metaphors will be removed in order, and explained in the same way, that is the reason. This is what was said above. Detailed explanation: The activity of the perfect Buddhas is to show infinite manifestations of the body, like the appearance of the image of Indra on the ground of lapis lazuli. However, the image has no sound, and the Buddha (187) has the sound of preaching the Dharma, so it is not the same, it is superior. In this way, from the aspect of having the sound of preaching the Dharma, showing various teachings, like the heavenly drum proclaiming the four seals of Dharma, however, the heavenly drum is only partial, it does not benefit all beings by pervading everywhere, and the Buddha benefits all beings to be tamed by pervading all the worlds, so it is not the same as the heavenly drum, it is superior. In this way, from the aspect of pervading all the worlds, making the beings to be tamed mature with wisdom and compassion, like the great cloud

It is similar to the clouds that spread everywhere and ripen the crops. However, clouds do not abandon useless seeds, while the Buddha abandons useless seeds of afflictions such as desire. Therefore, it is not the same as clouds and is extremely superior. In this way, from the aspect of abandoning useless seeds of afflictions, showing infinite manifestations is like the manifestation of Great Brahma abandoning attachment to desirable qualities. However, Brahma only benefits once and does not permanently ripen them, while the Buddha permanently and continuously ripens the minds of all those to be tamed. Therefore, it is not the same as Brahma and is extremely superior. In this way, from the aspect of permanently ripening the crops of those to be tamed, radiating infinite rays of wisdom is like the rays of the sun (188) permanently ripening the crops. However, the sun only occasionally appears, and does not permanently destroy darkness day and night, while the Buddha permanently and continuously destroys the darkness of ignorance. Therefore, it is not the same as the sun and is extremely superior. In this way, from the aspect of permanently destroying darkness, the secret of the mind, the light of non-discriminating wisdom shines, just like the light of a wish-fulfilling jewel permanently destroys darkness day and night. However, jewels are also possessed by animals such as dragons, so they are not difficult to obtain, while the Buddha is difficult for those without merit to obtain. Therefore, it is not the same as jewels and is extremely superior. In this way, from the aspect of being difficult to obtain, the secret of speech, teaching various good sayings, is like the difficulty of obtaining sound and images that are not truly established internally and externally. However, sound and images arise suddenly depending on conditions, while the Buddha is self-born and unconditioned, and does not arise depending on conditions. Therefore, it is not the same as sound and images and is extremely superior. In this way, from the aspect of not arising from conditions and not being manifestly conditioned, the secret of the body
