Will be seen by sentient beings who possess (this ability). That is what was said above. Now, the method for accomplishing the desired state is: When one's own mind is pure, if one can see the manifested form body, and with the desire to attain Buddhahood, in order to quickly attain Buddhahood, one should diligently engage in virtuous deeds such as listening (to the Dharma). Thus, in order to accomplish Buddhahood, the cause is to generate the mind of enlightenment (Bodhicitta), and the action is to practice the six perfections (Paramitas), etc. Having taken them up correctly and gradually familiarized oneself with them, one will obtain the ultimate result of one's desires, that is, one will attain the state of Buddhahood. That is what was said above. The method of accomplishing the purpose without effort is: The Buddha who appears when the mind is pure, in reality, does not have the motivation to do this or that for sentient beings (156), nor does it have any effort or movement. Even so, seeing the form of the Buddha can directly plant vast roots of virtue in the beings to be tamed in the world, and indirectly lead to omniscience, thus it has great significance. That is what was said above. The method of gradually attaining the ultimate Dharmakaya is: These infinite transformations of the form body are merely images of the true Buddha that appear when one's own mind is pure, and are not the ultimate Buddha. Although ignorant ordinary people cannot correctly understand this, merely seeing the form body of the Buddha has great significance for the seer and the beings to be tamed. Gradually, relying on seeing the form body, in order to attain Buddhahood, those who abide in this profound Mahayana and have the opportunity to practice this path will be able to personally realize the inner, inherently pure, luminous nature of the mind, and with the eye of non-conceptual wisdom, they will clearly see the emptiness Dharmakaya, which possesses all supreme qualities. That is what was said above. To explain this skillfully: For example, if the entire surface of the Jambudvipa were to become dangerous places such as cliffs and precipices

Apart from other lands, it possesses the nature of immaculate beryl, radiating light, with beautiful shapes and so forth, endowed with the virtues of jewels, possessing splendor free from defilements. (157) The entire upper part becomes as flat as the palm of a hand, and it itself is pure and clear, and because it is without defilement, it becomes like the surface of a mirror. There, the abode of the lord of gods, gatherings of victorious mansions and so forth, the lord of gods Indra, and many other kinds of gods, and the images of limitless divine enjoyments appear. Eventually, gradually departing from the manifestation of the qualities of the earth and so forth, that image again becomes invisible. Relying on the arising of appearances, in order to obtain the objects possessed by Indra with enjoyment, women and men who are inclined towards vows such as the eight-limbed upavasatha, and certainly towards giving and offerings and so forth, scattering and offering flowers and incense and so forth with minds desiring to attain the lordship of the gods, like engaging in various well-practiced activities, likewise, the princes and bodhisattvas who possess minds of great joy towards the Buddha, in order to attain the all-powerful one who appears in their own pure minds like immaculate beryl, just as people perform virtuous deeds for the sake of attaining the position of gods, they also diligently practice the six perfections with a mind greatly generated towards the supreme enlightenment. Thus it is said, just as images do not appear on impure ground, those who lack fortune do not see the Buddha. Thus it is said. To briefly show the way of no birth and death: (158) For example, in the human world, a beryl ground that is free from dust and other impurities and has become pure, just as the image of the body of the lord of gods with enjoyment appears, in the same way, for the beings to be tamed, when the ground of their minds is free from impurities such as disbelief and has become pure, the image of the body of the all-powerful one with excellent marks will appear. Even so, the appearance and disappearance of the image of the Buddha's body in the beings to be tamed is without impurities such as disbelief and
