Regarding the manifestation (154) of high status, in order to obtain it, the virtue of keeping a few precepts, etc., is to truly acquire and abide through skillful means. That is its meaning. The way to obtain the desired position through karma is: those men and women who keep precepts and other pure virtuous deeds, if they practice them well, then the appearance of Indra and others that are seen is merely the appearance of an image, not that the actual objects of gods, etc., come here. Although one does not truly know this, one grasps the image as real, and by the power of practicing virtue, one dies from among humans on earth and is reborn as the deity one desires. That is its meaning. The way to accomplish things without effort is: the appearance of Indra and others that appears on the ground of lapis lazuli is not with the motivation of thinking to lead the people of Jambudvipa to virtue, and there is no movement of diligence, although it is like that, but those who dwell in the human realm on earth directly engage in virtue, and through engaging in virtue, they enter the desired position, therefore, they abide closely with the possession of great meaning. That is its meaning. There are also four aspects to the meaning, among which the way the form body appears in the pure mind is: just like that example, removing the impurities of disbelief, etc., which are contrary to faith and diligence, etc., and then by the power of gradually meditating on the qualities of faith, diligence, and mindfulness, etc., the form body (155) of the complete Buddha appears in one's own mind and in between, also adorned with the thirty-two major marks, possessing the eighty minor marks, sometimes the body walks, and also stands, sits on a cushion, lies down for sleep, and also other various postures such as walking, speaking the Dharma of peaceful Nirvana to those to be tamed, sometimes not speaking the Dharma, but entering into the samadhi of truly abiding within, and performing various miracles such as magical displays, and possessing a circle of light, possessing great radiance, etc., manifesting limitless miracles, etc.
