Since even when involved in it, one is never tainted by its faults, the activities of the Form Body for the benefit of others are constant and uninterrupted. And because one has attained the state of immortality, the army of the Lord of Death has been subdued. Moreover, since from the very beginning it has not been compounded, it does not have the nature of being compounded. And because in the end, one becomes the refuge and protector of all the worlds, the Dharma Body is immutable and therefore permanent. In short, for ten reasons (116), the three bodies of the Tathagata are permanent. So it is said. The detailed explanation has three parts: the reasons why the Form Body is permanent, the reasons why the Dharma Body is permanent, and the summary of the general meaning of these. Among these, the reasons why the Form Body is permanent are: In the past, during the stage of learning, one completely relinquished all attachment to the body, head, and so on, as well as to the continuum of the life force, and to precious jewels and so on. And because it is accomplished through limitless causes such as upholding the sacred Dharma, those Form Bodies are constant and uninterrupted. Similarly, combining this with the fact that in order to accomplish the vast activity of benefiting all sentient beings, one must first liberate all sentient beings from samsara. Thus, one perfectly accomplishes the meaning of one's own vows. And because there is no end to those to be trained, and because the fully enlightened Buddha himself is cleansed of the obscurations of afflictions, and because he possesses great compassion, with the obscurations of knowledge completely purified, constantly and uninterruptedly embracing all sentient beings, and because he has mastery over miracles such as transforming one into many and manifesting many emanations, and the samadhi that is the basis of these, he is able to show the appearance of the Form Body in accordance with the capacity of beings. Therefore, that Buddha is able to abide until samsara is empty and to constantly and uninterruptedly act. And because the light of wisdom is completely purified, having been liberated from grasping at the two natures of existence, samsara, and peace, nirvana, and having realized non-duality, one is free from weariness in benefiting others. And because one is always (117) endowed with inconceivable and limitless pure samadhi and perfect bliss, one is not harmed by the suffering of asceticism. And for the sake of benefiting others, one acts

They abide in the world and act in accordance with their capacities, because they are not stained by worldly afflictions, karma, and suffering, etc. Therefore, the two bodies of the nature of form constantly and continuously benefit sentient beings. This is its meaning. The reason why the Dharmakaya is permanent is that the Dharmakaya manifested by the Tathagatas is immutable and permanent because of the ultimate antidote. Because there is no death or transfer caused by karma and afflictions, and because the position of attaining the supreme Nirvana, which is the complete pacification of all arising and ceasing, has been attained, the Mara of the Lord of Death can never disturb it. Similarly, nature is also permanent, because the Dharma body of the Muni, whose nature is not manifestly assembled by causes and conditions, is from the beginning the nature of complete pacification of all characteristics of conditioned phenomena. Non-deception is also permanent, because for limitless sentient beings who are without refuge, it is constantly and continuously suitable to be the ultimate protector, refuge, helper, and friend, etc. This is its meaning. The general meaning of these is summarized as follows: The first seven reasons, such as infinite causes, etc., explain that the benefit to others of the Rupakaya is constant and continuous. The latter three reasons, such as destroying the Mara of death, etc., show that the Dharmakaya of the Buddha is immutable and permanent. This is its meaning. The meaning of the Inconceivable as it is has two parts: a brief explanation of the way of being inconceivable and a detailed explanation of the reasons. The brief explanation is: The great Bodhi of immaculate Suchness, which is completely transformed by all places and thoroughly purified, transcends the expression of words, because it is not the object of speech; because it is self-realized by each individual, and is encompassed by the two purities of ultimate truth; because it is not a place or object to be examined by conceptual thought; because it completely transcends all measures of analogy and signs, etc.; because it is the ultimate perfection beyond the world and is unsurpassed; because the cycle of samsara
