The fault of holding that the immutable Dharmadhatu, which is originally pervasive in everything, does not exist, and of slandering it; and the fault of not understanding that the nature of self and others is equal in the Dharmadhatu, which leads to an increase in attachment to oneself. These five faults or sins, which types of people have more of, those people should abandon those faults. In order to generate the joy of wanting to attain enlightenment, and respect for all sentient beings, and wisdom that realizes without suddenness (83), and wisdom that realizes the existence of self-nature, and great compassion that knows self and others as equal, in order to generate these, it is said that the Tathagatagarbha Dharmata, that is, Suchness, is pervasive in everything. The detailed explanation has two parts: explaining the intention of emptiness spoken elsewhere, and explaining the benefits of speaking of the Dharmadhatu in this tantra. Among them, explaining the intention is: if the existence of the Tathagatagarbha is the definitive meaning, then in the Sutra of the Mother of the Conquerors and others, it is said: all dharmas are emptiness, like clouds, dreams, and illusions, although they appear, they have no self-nature. What is the intention of what is said? For the object without inversion, the ultimate truth, the unconditioned Dharmadhatu, which is separated from all the appearances of arising, ceasing, and abiding of the conditioned and sudden defilements of the conventional, it is said that there is no self-nature with this intention. Then, what are the sudden defilements of the conditioned that are empty? They are the all-pervasive defilements of afflictions such as desire, and the all-pervasive defilements of actions such as non-virtue, and the all-pervasive defilements of the ripening fruits of these, such as the aggregates that produce results. These are also said to be the same as the three metaphors of clouds and so on, in order. Among them, affliction is the sudden obstacle that obscures the nature of sentient beings (84), which is pervasive like space, so it is like a cloud, and the contaminated karma taken by it is generated by the inverted and confused mind, and is a false object, so it is like the enjoyment in a dream. Afflictions, karma, and the results of contamination, etc.
