The essence or main part to be abandoned, which exists in the continuum of the Arhats (74), having directly witnessed the Dharma nature, and which should be abandoned by the wisdom of the path of meditation, is the remainder of the coarse exhaustion, or it is shown to be similar to rotten clothes with defilements. Therefore, what is abandoned by meditation is like rotten clothes, and the defilements that rely on the impure seven grounds obscure what is to be seen and are accompanied by effort, and are similar to the defilements of the womb. Just as one is separated from the womb, one is liberated from those defilements, and from the eighth ground onwards, there is no effort, and the non-conceptual wisdom is spontaneously accomplished and manifest, just as a Chakravartin king matures and is born. Therefore, the defilements that rely on the seven grounds are like the womb, and the subtle defilements of the three grounds related to speech can be abandoned without effort, so it should be understood as if a golden form is stained by a little mud, which is also to be destroyed by the vajra-like samadhi of the great Bodhisattvas who are the antidotes. Therefore, the defilements related to the three grounds are shown to be like mud. Again, summarizing the common meaning: As mentioned above, combining extensively in accordance with the Dharma, then the nine kinds of sudden defilements that obscure the Dharmadhatu, such as desire and hatred, are the same in Dharma as the nine examples such as lotus and honey, in the order as they are. That is the meaning. Regarding the special representation of the nature Dharmadhatu (75), there are three: briefly representing the three Dharmas with nine examples, analyzing their meanings separately, and explaining the nature of the analysis in detail. Among them, the brief representation is: the realm of the Tathagatagarbha, which is to be explained and summarized by the three natures, is the same in Dharma as the nine examples that represent the essence, such as the Buddha's body and honey. That is it. The analysis is: what are the three natures? The nature of the Dharmadhatu Tathagatagarbha is the self-born wisdom Dharmakaya and the unchanging Suchness, and also the lineage for achieving Buddhahood, that is,

There are three "Ma" in total. How are these represented by nine metaphors? These three natures, in order, should be understood as the nature of the Dharmakaya by the three metaphors of the Buddha's body, honey, and the essence of grain; the nature of Suchness should be understood by the metaphor of gold; similarly, the nature of the lineage for accomplishing the three bodies should be understood by the five metaphors of treasure, trees, wish-fulfilling jewels, a Chakravartin, and a golden statue. The explanation is divided into three parts: a detailed explanation of the meaning of the Dharmakaya metaphor, an explanation of the meaning of the Suchness metaphor, and a detailed explanation of the meaning of the lineage metaphor. The meaning of the Dharmakaya metaphor is divided into two parts: an explanation of the classification of the Dharmakaya, and the combination of these with metaphors. Among them, the classification is: the Svabhavikakaya should also be understood as two types by the classification of substance and imputation (76). That is, the Dharmadhatu Tathagatagarbha, which is extremely stainless and naturally luminous, is the object of the wisdom of self-awareness of the Buddhas themselves, and the realization with this characteristic is the Dharmakaya; the Dharma of the scriptures that arise from the same cause of this realization or attainment, according to the capacity of the beings to be tamed, is the imputed teaching Dharmakaya. These should also be distinguished by the classification of what is to be said and what is said, or cause and effect. The teaching Dharmakaya also has two aspects: in terms of the ultimate truth of Suchness, starting from the Bodhisattva Pitaka, it teaches the profound Dharma; in order to be in accordance with the thoughts of various sentient beings, in terms of the conventional truth, starting from the Sutras and the twelve branches of scripture, it teaches the vast and various principles. That's how it is. Combining with metaphors: the Dharmakaya, which is to be realized and is naturally pure, is completely beyond all worldly phenomena, so there is no metaphor in the world that can represent the Dharmakaya. Therefore, the Tathagatagarbha self-born body residing in the lotus and the element of natural purity can only represent a part.
