In the 'Two Examinations,' saying things like 'acting from ignorance and insubordination' is unreasonable. Furthermore, a foolish person practicing the wisdom arising from empowerment will also become the cause of animals, etc. Because a foolish person acknowledges that practicing Mahamudra is the cause of animals, etc., and believes that the wisdom arising from empowerment is Mahamudra. Also, if you want to say that it will be like that if you don't know how to practice Mahamudra, then the way of speaking is wrong. For example, if you don't know how to practice the Mahayana path, it may become the cause of the Hinayana, but it is not right to say that practicing the Mahayana path is the cause of the Hinayana. If you don't know how to practice the holy Dharma, you may be born in the lower realms, but it is not right to say that practicing the holy Dharma is the cause of the lower realms. Furthermore, the cause of being born in the formless realm requires a worldly higher vision with the samadhi of obtaining clear appearance in the actual basis of each of the four formless realms, and with the aspect of peace and roughness. Now, it is said to be the samadhi of meditation that even Sravaka Arhats find difficult to accomplish, so it is very unreasonable to explain it as being the same as the cause of animals. Also, if you say 'falling into the cessation of Sravakas,' then the cessation spoken of is the cessation samadhi of the holy Sravaka Non-Returner and Arhat. For this, a higher vision with the aspect of the absence of self of the person is needed, so it is not right to explain it as being the same as the cause of animals. Practicing the cause of such a cessation samadhi will also be difficult for foolish people to accomplish. Furthermore, in the 'Final Stages of Meditation,' it says, 'The mind of an ordinary person who has not attained the fourth dhyana cannot possibly cease.' This directly contradicts the above statement and is complete nonsense. Also, if you say that the cessation of Sravakas is what is spoken of in some common stories as the cessation of Sravakas, then this is just common gossip, and in reality, it is not a Sravaka, so his cessation is not the cessation of a Sravaka. If that is the reason, then please calm down again and speak well. Also, some say, 'Nowadays, some lamas, just by transforming the mind with devotion, and slightly stopping conceptual thoughts, give the introduction to Mahamudra. Such a situation may also be demonic, or it may occur in some people with (460) mixed elements.' Saying this is also nonsense, because the lama

Because this would become an admission that the basis of the blessings of demons and the blessings of mothers are the same, and therefore eating food is also very bad. As mentioned above, it is not considered to be the non-conceptual Mahamudra that is not seized by insight. Also, it is too extreme to think that all occurrences in the aggregate of aggregates are not true, because in this way, all methods of generating wisdom through the entry and dissolution of wind-mind into the central channel would become unreasonable, and the Mahamudra that you desire would be refuted by yourself. The second is that some people think that just the nature of the mind has a clear and bright vigor and does not discriminate against anything else, but just stays still, is the meditation of Mahamudra. Although this is a Samadhi of calm abiding that is free from the faults of sinking and agitation, (461) it is not exactly the meditation of Mahamudra, because it only has the experience of mind-clarity and emptiness, and does not have the definitive knowledge of insight. If all thoughts are pacified in their own place, the nature of mind or awareness is clear, and there is an experience and definitive knowledge that is free from all grasping, then this can be used as a meditation for beginners. However, because it seems that a non-conceptuality like blocking thoughts and appearances is needed in any case, this is not exactly the meditation of the unadulterated nature of reality awareness. Therefore, in this case, it is also difficult to generate the meditation of subsequent attainment. Similarly, some people think that when the arising of thoughts or appearances occurs, it is necessary to immediately stop or suppress them and keep them clear and non-conceptual. Others think that it is necessary to hold mindfulness and awareness tightly and keep the mind clear and empty. If, from the perspective of the nature of the mind, the stone and bone (462) are in harmony, and unscattered mindfulness and awareness arise, then this can be used as a meditation for beginners. However, since the imputation of the nature of thoughts and appearances has not been cut off, thoughts and appearances are more likely to become enemies. Therefore, it is difficult to find the loophole of the relaxed nature of the mind, which is only a one-sided experience of being too tense. However, if you are skilled in cultivating this kind of virtue, then this kind of Samadhi will gradually become familiar, and this kind of equanimity will continue to grow. Gradually, the arising of thoughts and appearances will also become subtle and subside on their own, and eventually the imputation of thoughts and appearances will be cut off.
