(1) This is entitled "The Moonlight: A Good Explanation Clarifying the Meditation Stages of Definitive Great Seal." (2) This is entitled "The Moonlight: A Good Explanation Clarifying the Meditation Stages of Definitive Great Seal." I prostrate with reverence to the Lama and Chakrasamvara. Although his nature is free from elaboration, he shows all sorts of forms of elaboration of the Form Body. Although beyond the sound of inexpressible words, the sweet melody of indestructible self-sound arises. Although purified from the marks of dualistic appearance of self and other, the mark of compassion is the basis of benefit and happiness. I prostrate to the actual Vajradhara, the master of all existent and nonexistent things. In all realms, his body displays illusory dances with various emanations. His speech proclaims the Dharma of the Three Vehicles in the languages of individual beings to be tamed. His mind embraces all beings with impartial great love and cherishes all beings. I pay homage to that unequaled teacher who possesses the three secrets, the sole friend of the fortunate ones. Even a fraction of his compassion enables one to distinguish the meaning of hundreds of scriptures of definitive and provisional meaning. When explaining, debating, and composing, he bestows fearless, unobstructed intelligence. He effortlessly realizes the profound reality hidden from ordinary people. I prostrate to the supreme deity, Jetsun Tummo, and again grant the supreme confidence. The profound, clear, and innate reality is manifestly realized, and all fabricated dharmas are seen as false. In the nature of the indivisible expanse of awareness, like space, the ground, path, and result are completely perfected. I also respectfully bow to those with names like Namkhai Nyingpo, Aryadeva, Nagarjuna, Shawari, and Tailopa. Maro, Maitri, Marpa, and Mila. Although he awakened before the Buddhas themselves, he took the form of the youthful Prince Moonlight. Out of love for the beings of the snowy land, he transformed into the monk named Tsojey (Tshochek). (5) Foretold by the Buddhas, in this degenerate age, he proclaims the definitive Dharma sound. I pay homage to that second teacher, widely known throughout the three realms as Gampopa. Here in the snowy land, those who boast of being scholars, celibates, and masters of secret mantras analyze with concepts and accomplish with experience, but they do not perfect anything beyond a single aspect. He sees the face of the nature of mind himself and is skilled at effortlessly showing it to others. I respectfully bow to the glorious Drukpa Kagyu masters and ask for their blessings. His Dharma

O! The illusory wheel of false words is pacified, and the various experiences created by conceptual thoughts are refuted. This path (6) is the ultimate meaning of all Sutras and Tantras. Others pursue words like mirage-like water, some look at the appearances transformed by conceptual thoughts, and some cling to experiences like rainbows in the sky. Such behavior is not because they want to quickly liberate. Having heard many correct and definitive scriptures, and having thought and researched their meaning well, if one does not meditate on the correct meaning, then attaining liberation will become distant. Some people now say that it is not the time to meditate, and this act of making oneself and others lazy is heretical talk. Do not listen to these words, those who have the fortune should listen carefully and persevere, and diligently engage in meditation. From all parts of the Sutras and Tantras, the beast of the meaning of reality reveals its form completely. The bright rays of the moon of good speech now shine, bringing peace of mind to those who wander in the darkness of ignorance. Do not turn your back on accomplishing great things, and do not be deceived by sectarian views. Those who wish to meditate and practice the correct meaning (7), those with good fortune and wisdom, please listen respectfully. Here, after entering the gate of the precious teachings of our teacher, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, the way to practice all the sacred Dharma he taught is the so-called ten practices. Among them, the most important and ultimate destination is to meditate on the correct meaning. Therefore, these stages of meditation will be explained here. Nowadays, most of those who study and contemplate are not skilled in practice, and some practitioners also seem to not understand the key points of the stages of meditation. In order to benefit those who trust me, I initiate and explain with pure intention. If the expression and combination of words are mainly used, I am afraid that most people will find it difficult to understand, so I will explain it in an easy-to-understand way. Therefore, it is divided into two parts: the reason for meditating on the meaning of the mind (8) and the explanation of the stages of Samadhi meditation. The first part is divided into three points: all Dharmas are mind, the faults of not meditating on the meaning of mind, and the merits of meditating. The first point is: In general, all Dharmas that include Samsara and Nirvana are one's own mind, such as the Tenth Ground Sutra.
