The actual entity of reality is that itself. Nirvana is also that itself. The Great Madhyamaka is also that itself. What is to be seen is also that itself. What is to be meditated on is also that itself. What is to be attained is also that itself. Thus, there are many such statements. In short, this (433) is the basis or root of all terms such as Dharmakaya, Great Bliss, Co-emergent Wisdom, Self-arisen Wisdom, Self-aware Wisdom, Ultimate Bodhicitta, Tathagatagarbha, Dharmata Suchness, etc. As stated in the "Mahamudra Non-Abiding Tantra": "This is Mahamudra, This is stainless, This has no negation or affirmation, It is not found by path or antidote, This is the body of all Buddhas, This is the basis of all qualities, This is spontaneously accomplished." As it is said. Secondly, from the state of co-emergent samadhi of mind itself as mentioned above, allow thoughts such as joy and happiness, or attachment and aversion, to arise clearly and with force. When it arises, stare intently at that appearance. As in the case of previously determining thoughts, the form of the way that thought arises appears clearly without interruption. The characteristic that is slightly different from the ordinary distracted and confused thoughts is that the activity of confused thoughts does not generate clinging to the reality of clinging, and the essence or nature of the thought (434) itself is emptiness without anything to be identified. In this way, the form of the thought appears clearly, and the emptiness without anything to be identified, the two are inseparable. Experiencing it as emptiness-appearance or appearance-emptiness is seeing the self-face of co-emergent thoughts. For example, just as a wave of water does not go beyond water, and water itself appears as a wave, but although it appears, it is not something other than water. Similarly, thoughts do not go beyond the essence of emptiness, and because the meditation on emptiness has ceased, only the form of thought appears from the interdependence of causes and conditions. Although it appears, because its essence is free from identification, it is like it is not something other than emptiness. In this case, when the arising meditation of thought ceases, clinging to the self-purified calm abiding, and it itself also recognizes that it is the unborn Dharmakaya or the nature of emptiness, is the definite insight, and the flowing is the nature of emptiness, and

Having the aspect of emptiness flowing (435), in short, emptiness flowing or flowing emptiness are indistinguishable, being the union of calm abiding and insight. This is the arising or liberation of conceptual thought as the Dharmakaya, and relying on this, the Dagpo Kagyu tradition considers conceptual thought arising as the Dharmakaya and delusion arising as wisdom to be the Dharma of realization, and holds this terminology. So, how is this meaning explained in the Sutras and Tantras? In the Teaching of Inexhaustible Intelligence, it says: In order to realize these afflictions, it is Bodhi, whatever the nature of the afflictions is, that is also the nature of Bodhi. Also, in the Questions of Ocean of Intelligence, it says: Ocean of Intelligence asked: World Honored One, this Samadhi is extremely difficult to fathom. The World Honored One taught: It is in order to realize that discriminating consciousness and wisdom are of equal nature. Also, realizing all Dharmas as equality is Bodhi, (436) therefore Bodhisattvas should not have a distant concept of Bodhi. Also, in the Teaching of All Dharmas as Unborn, it says: Desire is said to be Nirvana. Hatred and ignorance are the same. Bodhi is their very place. Also, Bodhi and desire are not two. And so on. In the Jewel Heap Sutra, it says: All are born from the unborn. At the moment of birth, there is no birth. Also, in the Two Examinations, it says: Pure wisdom has form, and cyclic existence has conceptualization, there is not the slightest difference. Also, this is called cyclic existence, and this is also Nirvana. Also, cyclic existence, hatred, and so on, these Dharmas are Nirvana. Also, in the Samhita, it says: Cyclic existence and Nirvana, are not two that exist, knowing the nature of cyclic existence, is what is called Nirvana. Also, the Great Brahmin said: With the pure rays of wisdom like the sun, the supreme wisdom that makes ignorance into intelligence, like the philosopher's stone, transforms all Dharmas into bliss. Also, Nagarjuna said: Cyclic existence and Nirvana, there is not the slightest difference. Nirvana and cyclic existence, there is not the slightest difference. Also, in Aryadeva's Treatise on Non-Conceptual Wisdom, it says: Whatever conceptual thought, from the nature of abandoning them,
