It is so. As it says in the Sutra itself: "Those Sutras which explain with various terms such as self, sentient being, life, nurture, person, one who has, born of power, son of power, doer, and feeler, and which show what is masterless as if it had a master, those are called interpretable meanings." "Those Sutras which show emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, non-fabrication, no birth, unborn, no sentient being, no life, no person, and masterlessness as the door to liberation, those are called definitive meanings." And also, from the Samadhiraja Sutra: "Emptiness as taught by the Sugata, know the distinctions of the Sutras of definitive meaning. Whatever teaches sentient beings (སེམས་ཅན།,Sattvav, सत्त्व,sentient being), persons (གང་ཟག,Pudgala, पुद्गल,person), and individuals, know that all those teachings are of interpretable meaning." As it is. Thus, whether it is the word of the Teacher or the commentary on it, whatever is explained by the accomplished ones, by listening to and contemplating those undisputed treatises that clearly show the definitive meaning without error, gaining a general understanding of the view is said to be the cause of vipassana, so one should accomplish it in that way. Furthermore, one must also rely on the previously mentioned means of abandoning the causes of sinking and excitement, guarding the doors of the senses, acting with mindfulness, knowing the measure of food, and so on, which are the practices of samatha. In particular, in this practice lineage, it is held that the view must be realized by relying on the blessings of the lama, so it is crucial to meditate on lama yoga and make strong supplications. As it says in the Two Examinations: "Not spoken by others, co-emergent (ལྷན་ཅིག་སྐྱེས།,Sahaja, सहज,co-emergent), not found anywhere, rely on the lama's instructions, know it from your own merit." And, "This wisdom of your own awareness (རིག་པ།,Vidya, विद्या,awareness), beyond the path of speech, the realm of experience, this is because of the lineage of blessings, such is the all-knowing wisdom." As it is. Third, regarding vipassana: worldly vipassana, which has many aspects of calmness and agitation, and Hinayana vipassana, which has the aspects of the four truths, even if accomplished, are excellent but not indispensable limbs. But vipassana, which meditates on the meaning of selflessness, is the vipassana to be accomplished here. Relying on it, one can gather
