Although many different recognitions seem to have been stated, they are not elaborated upon due to their abundance. Regarding these methods, some say, "What is Nāro's and Maitrīpa's, the Great Seal (Mahāmudrā) (178)? That is action and dharma, vows and the Great Seal, as stated in the secret mantra tantras, that is what they consider it to be." This explanation suggests that the two great siddhas made explanations of the four seals according to the mantra scriptures, but it is not certain that there are no differences in order and recognition. Moreover, it seems to be merely speculation without having seen other views of the reality of the Great Seal. This is because there are many differences in order and recognition even in the explanations of the four seals made by those two, and the order of both of them and the order you repeated also seem inconsistent. Examining the implication of that statement, it seems to exclude other views of the reality of the Great Seal, except for the classification of the four seals explained by those two great siddhas according to the mantra scriptures. If that were the case, it would be very unreasonable, because although Nāropa had reached the other shore of the ocean-like sutras and tantras, he was still not satisfied (179), underwent twelve great hardships, and relied on the great siddha Tailopa. It is said that Tailopa taught the Great Seal of essential meaning, which does not rely on the path of secret mantra, and attained liberation. In such Great Seal treatises, there are many other types of Dohas of Tailopa, as well as what is known as the Ganges Girl, Nāro's "Great Seal Collection," "Wisdom Illumination," and "Summary of Views," etc. If these are not Nāro's views, then it would be incorrect. Maitrīpa also, after perfecting his knowledge and realization of sutras and tantras, was still not satisfied and relied on the glorious Śavarīśvara. From there, he also received the teachings of essential meaning that do not rely on secret mantra and attained liberation. In his Dharma teachings, there are the Dohas of the great and small Sarahā, as well as Maitrīpa's own Dohas and the treatise "Great Seal Collection of Words," etc. If these are not Maitrīpa's views, then it would be incorrect. If these are acknowledged as the views of Nāropa and Maitrīpa, then the power of the words "What is Nāro's and Maitrīpa's, the Great Seal (180)?" excludes anything other than the category of the four seals made by those two.

Because it contradicts the tenets of the Great Seal and prevents other tenets. Secondly, some of the Great Seals that explain the three and four seals above also show many uncommon Great Seals. The Great Seal explained in the Kalachakra also seems to become an uncommon Great Seal. There, emptiness with all supreme aspects and unchanging bliss are regarded as the Great Seal when they become one taste. And the unchanging bliss of 'Great Seal unchanging bliss' is not regarded as the wisdom based on the experience of Karma Seal and Wisdom Seal, etc., but as the bliss of innate nature, which is also very clear. Furthermore, in the forty-sixth chapter of the Vajra Garland Tantra, it says: 'Then again, what should be said, the meaning of the Great Seal (181), the peaceful fruit of great yoga, the meaning of great wisdom is summarized, the great fortune of great bliss, the nature of supreme taste, the great illusion is extremely subtle, the great of the great is great space, that seal is the wisdom of the Tathagata, rely on the state of non-discrimination, the place of the indestructible Vajrasattva, the great bliss of non-discrimination, like the sky without defilement.' This is the Great Seal of the four abidings. And 'Without self-nature and separated from the base, non-dual, selfless, unspeakable, yogis are self-aware, aggregates, realms, and sources, all discriminating dharmas are completely abandoned, meditation and what is to be meditated and samadhi, the two stages are completely abandoned, consciousness is separated from wisdom, mantra, recitation, and practice are abandoned.' This is the Great Seal of the path. And 'Transcending the state of all things, great wisdom is extremely diligent, here one should know great accomplishment, the Great Seal is unsurpassed (182).' It is considered that this shows the Great Seal of the fruit. The commentary on this tantra, written by Pandit Alangkakalasha, explains these verses in detail. In the Great Seal Tilaka, it also says: 'Bhagavan Wisdom Dakini, the one who dispels the darkness of ignorance, all secrets have been spoken, but the Great Seal has not been spoken. What is the Great Seal like? Please truly explain the freedom of the Victorious One.' Thus, he prayed.
