我在此是手印。如此说。印是解脱于轮回之法，从能取所取中解脱，并且以其增上或种植一切法之义。如《密集》所说：远离一切事物，蕴、界和处等，完全舍弃能取和所取，以法无我之平等性。如此说。大是方便智慧等双运或平等结合，那是所有禅修中最殊胜之义。如弥勒巴的《十如实性》中说：方便与智慧平等结合，禅修最胜之瑜伽士，大手印平等结合。如此说。另外，关于此名称的意义，《时轮》的《难解释·莲花鬘》中说：称为大手印，是因为能生出过去、未来和现在的一切如来，是般若波罗蜜多。由于以不住之（167）涅槃或不迁之乐增上安乐，所以是印。与业手印和智慧手印不同，并且是远离轮回习气，所以是大。如此宣说。杰冈波巴说：了知显现世间轮回涅槃等，不超出法性无生之自性，是手。一切所显现所存在，都不超出本初之义，是印。由于了知法性极度解脱，所以是大。如此说。金色台阶的《乘灯论》中说：大手印的决定词是，业和烦恼障等，自解脱心性法身中，为了相见故称为手。以相的分别念，不能超越故为印。自性乘和行持等，由于胜过一切乘，所以称为大。也如此宣说。名称的异名是：胜义谛，无上（168）之智慧，普贤，大手印，法身等，宣说为同一意义。因扎菩提的《成就智慧之修法》中说：此乃胜义谛，智慧金刚无上有，被称为普贤，也称为大手印，此应知为法身。如此说。《七合论》中：自性无有与如是性，法性以及法平等，意义

I am here, this is the Mudra. Thus it is said. Mudra means to be liberated from grasping and clinging in the Dharma of Samsara, and it has the meaning of enhancing or planting all Dharmas. As it is said in the Guhyasamaja: "Being separated from all things, aggregates, elements, and sense bases, completely abandoning the grasper and the grasped, by the equality of Dharma without self." Thus it is said. Great means the union or equal combination of skillful means and wisdom, etc., and that is the meaning of being the most supreme of all meditations. As it is said in Maitripa's Ten Realities: "The union of skillful means and wisdom, the yogi of the supreme meditation, the great Mudra is equally united." Thus it is said. Furthermore, regarding the meaning of this name, in the Difficult Explanation of the Kalachakra, the Garland of Lotuses, it is said: "It is called the Great Mudra because it is the Prajnaparamita that generates all the Tathagatas of the past, future, and present. Because it enhances bliss with the bliss of non-abiding (167) Nirvana or non-moving bliss, it is the Mudra. It is distinguished from the Karma Mudra and the Jnana Mudra, and it is free from the imprints of Samsara, therefore it is Great." Thus it is explained. Je Gampopa said: "Realizing that appearances, existence, Samsara, and Nirvana do not go beyond the nature of Dharma, the unborn nature, is the Hand. Whatever appears, whatever exists, all do not go beyond the original meaning, is the Seal. Because the nature of Dharma is realized as utterly liberated, therefore it is Great." Thus it is said. The Golden Staircase's Lamp of the Vehicle says: "The definitive word of the Great Mudra is: Karma and afflictive obscurations, self-liberated mind itself, in the Dharmakaya, because of meeting, it is called Hand. By the conceptual thought of characteristics, it cannot be transcended, therefore it is Seal. Characteristics, Vehicle, and conduct, etc., because it is greater than all vehicles, therefore it is called Great." It is also explained thus. The synonyms of the name are: Ultimate Reality, Supreme (168) Wisdom, Samantabhadra, Great Mudra, Dharmakaya, etc., are explained as having the same meaning. Indrabodhi's Sadhana for Accomplishing Wisdom says: "This is the Ultimate Reality, Wisdom Vajra is supreme, it is called Samantabhadra, it is also called the Great Mudra, this should be known as the Dharmakaya."
