No. The mind is also completely without grasping. All views are completely abandoned, that is the nature of non-arising. As it says in the Bodhicaryāvatāra: When nothing at all is seen, whether clear or unclear, it is like the illusion of a magician, it is meaningless to speak of it. And: When real and unreal things do not remain before the mind, at that time there is no other aspect, and it is completely pacified without object of focus. Like that and so on. The meaning of these is summarized as follows: As it says in the first stage of meditation: He thinks like this, the three realms are only mind, thinking like this, he understands that all dharma designations are only mind, and then individually (112) examines them, that is, individually examines the nature of all dharmas. Thus, he individually examines the nature of the mind. He examines it like this: In the ultimate sense, the mind cannot be true, because when the mind, which is of a false nature, grasps the aspects of form and so on, and appears in various aspects, how can it be true? Just as form and so on are false, the mind is also inseparable from them, so it is false. Just as form and so on are various aspects, and are not of the nature of one and many, so too the mind is inseparable from them, so it is not of the nature of one and many. Therefore, the mind is only like the nature of illusion and so on. Just as the mind is, so are all dharmas, only like the nature of illusion and so on, so he examines. Thus, when he individually examines the nature of the mind with wisdom, in the ultimate sense (113), the mind is not focused on internally, nor is it focused on externally, nor is it focused on as being without both. The past mind is not focused on, the future mind is not focused on, and the present arising mind is not focused on. When the mind arises, it does not come from anywhere, and when it ceases, it does not go anywhere, etc., the mind is ungraspable, unshowable, and non-material. What is the nature of that which is unshowable, ungraspable, and non-material? It is like what is said in the Holy Ratnakuta Sutra: Kashyapa! If the mind is completely sought, it cannot be found. That which cannot be found is not focused on.

Whatever is unspecifiable is neither past, nor future, nor occurring in the present. Thus, one should ascertain that all phenomena are mind, and also realize from experience that mind, too, is a nature of reality like space, free from all fixations. This method seems far superior to most speculative or conceptually fabricated emptiness meditations. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: 'Having realized with the intellect that there is nothing apart from mind, then one also realizes that mind itself does not exist. The intelligent one, realizing that both do not exist, abides in the realm of reality devoid of both.' In its commentary, Vasubandhu says: 'Having realized with the intellect that there is no object of focus apart from mind, since there is no object of focus, there is also no grasper. Thus, the Mind-Only school also understands its non-existence. Realizing that both of these do not exist, one abides in the realm of reality devoid of both, free from the characteristics of grasper and grasped. Thus, one directly realizes the realm of reality.' This statement also agrees with the above. Second, elaborating on the specific methods of practicing the view, there are three aspects: establishing the correct view, the method of meditating in equipoise (115), and the method of arising in post-meditation. First, as mentioned above, whether one meditates with conceptual thought on existence, non-existence, both existence and non-existence, neither existence nor non-existence, etc., one will fall into extremes such as permanence and annihilation. Even if one meditates with conceptual thought on emptiness, unbornness, signlessness, etc., that is still conceptual grasping or self-conceit, and therefore not the true view. So, what should it be like? Whether one analyzes based on the reasoning explained in the scriptures, or cuts through exaggerations and deprecations with the antidotes explained in the instructions, in essence, one should be certain that all phenomena of grasper and grasped are merely appearances of one's own mind. Furthermore, the ultimate reality of one's own mind is such that, from the very beginning, it has never been established as having any inherent nature, is not tainted by substance or characteristics, is free from the three phases of arising, abiding, and ceasing, transcends the object of conceptual thought, is free from fixation (116) and without interruption, like space. However, for a beginner, it is merely distinguished by an experience like an illusion and subtle awareness. It is not remaining at the level of understanding, but recognizing and ascertaining from experience.
