Day and night occur in cycles. Samatha and vipassana are thoroughly blended, transforming into a continuous stream of yoga (723). Non-conceptual appearances are uncertain, with only slight experiences of clarity arising. In post-meditation, appearances of non-grasping appear as clear, empty illusions, and subtle dualistic perceptions of awareness arise in relation to them. Dreams of non-grasping occur intermittently, and sometimes there are no dreams at all. At this time, subtle clairvoyance arises. Prophecies from yidam deities and dakinis occur, and it is said that jealousy is also completely pacified from its root. Thirdly, during all three stages of "One Taste," one mostly relies on secluded places. Occasionally, one also stays in gatherings. The way of extracting the essence is mostly similar to great non-elaboration. Although it may seem as if there is no difference between meditating and not meditating, or remembering and not remembering, it is crucial to cultivate the essence of realization with correct mindfulness in solitude, without distraction. During the small and medium stages of "One Taste" (724), there may be differences in the aspects of skillful means such as adopting and abandoning based on cause and effect, devotion, pure perception, and compassion, so one should exert effort and meditate on these. It is important to arrange all good coincidences, abandon all bad ones, and properly engage in adopting virtue and abandoning negativity. As Je Gomtshul said: Although one realizes the meaning of non-duality, do not cease the practices of white dharma. Although one realizes the meaning of non-meditation, do not cease the service of skillful means. Although there is no adopting or abandoning in conduct, do not create the causes of others' sins. Although there is no hope or fear of results, do not let the afflictions run wild. It is as he said. Even if one realizes great "One Taste," if the ability to benefit or harm does not arise, and if signs such as clairvoyance and dakini prophecies do not occur, it means that one's samaya has been broken or one has been affected by the defilements of others, so one should engage in intense confession (725). Make a thousand tsatsas and offer a flower to each one, praying, "Please pacify my defilements." Also, perform dharani rituals to dispel defilements and engage in various virtuous deeds. If signs and so on arise, and one feels pride or likes and dislikes about them, it means that one has been possessed by a demon. Benefiting and harming, and all demons, etc., are one's own mind. The mind is like the sky, without beginning or end.
