Emptiness and non-emptiness are one taste, indistinguishable emptiness. Realization and non-realization are one taste, without equal aftermath. Meditation and non-meditation are one taste, in the state of purity. Elaborations and non-elaborations are one taste, the realm of Dharma. Thus, (718) in accordance with this, Je Zhang also said. However, some say that, like the generally shown one taste, the nature of all dharmas being one taste in emptiness, it is not appropriate to say that this is the one taste in this context. If so, then such yoga should be called the yoga of one taste. If that is said, then the small and medium of non-elaboration should also be called the yoga of one taste, because the reason is the same. Moreover, at the time of non-elaboration, although there is realization of all dharmas in emptiness, it is said that there is comfort in the emptiness aspect and some discomfort in the appearance aspect, so there is no realization of such union as it is. Having realized the genuine one taste, it is said that appearances arise as the union of appearance and emptiness, without any damage or loss. Therefore, if the many unions of the two dharmas are made into one taste, it is appropriate to make it the meaning of one taste in this context. Such a one taste is also threefold: (719) Although all dharmas included in the two, such as samsara and nirvana, are realized as one taste in the nature of the union of the great seal, there is still a trace of experience and clinging to the definite understanding, which is the small one taste. From the purification of the clinging of the definite understanding that many experiences are one taste, the appearance of the object of grasping is completely gone, and the mind that grasps it is also completely gone, so that the non-duality of appearance and mind is clearly manifested, which is the medium one taste. Thus, many are realized as one taste, and that realization of one taste arises as the appearance of many, so that all appearances and existences are pacified in the state of equality, which is the great one taste. The distinction between the ultimate and non-ultimate one taste is: Whatever appearance arises, without any affirmation or negation, acceptance or rejection, if one recognizes oneself in the self-illuminating equality without object, then one sees the nature of one taste. Although there is a slight clinging to the cause of mixing in equality and the experience and definite understanding of mixing (720), it is the experience of one taste, so the nature is not seen. In appearance, if everything that arises manifests as the self-power of that very equality, then the function of one taste is complete. Because it is not separated from the trace of the antidote of affirmation and negation, one taste does not appear as many.

If the strength is not complete, from the appearances and mind, etc., from the clinging to the appearance of the two, object and subject, if there is no hope or fear of bondage and liberation for the arising of the six consciousnesses, and it is allowed to arise as it may, then conceptual thought will arise as meditation. If the arising of the six consciousnesses needs to be obtained or liberated through the memory of recognition, then conceptual thought will not arise as meditation. If the three, body, appearance, and mind, are completely integrated and one obtains siddhis such as manifestations, then the qualities of one taste will arise. Even if only the realization of one taste arises, but because the conditions for awakening qualities are weak and the signs of accomplishment do not appear, then qualities will not (721) arise. If emptiness arises as cause and effect, and one clearly recognizes the interdependence of cause and effect, and knows that the arising of momentary wisdom can distinguish between samsara and nirvana, and is skilled in cause and effect, then one is accomplished in relative truth. If, because the ignorance of being deluded about cause and effect has not been cleared, emptiness does not arise as the cause and effect of many, then one is not accomplished in relative truth. If emptiness arises as compassion, universal compassion arises effortlessly, and the treasure of benefiting others is opened, then the seed of the form body is planted. If the power of realization does not turn into compassion, the part of compassion and other methods is weak, and one cannot accomplish the benefit of others, then the seed of the form body is not planted. The second part is: During the small one taste period, although one recognizes that all things are the nature of the primordial, there is still clinging to its experience and certainty. In the post-meditation stage, due to the strong disturbance of external objects, the appearance of the six consciousnesses will bring discomfort to practice (722). Naturally, many appearances of grasping and being grasped will also arise. These habits will also cause many confusions and clingings to arise in dreams. Sometimes, the experience of the inseparability of body, appearance, and mind will also arise. However, one still gives importance and respect to cause and effect, and has small compassion for beings. During the medium one taste period, the clinging to the two, object of realization and subject of realization, and object of experience and subject of experience, is liberated. The root of clinging to appearance and mind is cut off. Post-meditation and dreams also have less confusion than before, and strong clinging no longer arises. It is said that the ability to benefit and harm external disciples will arise. During the great one taste period, the primordial equanimity continuously arises as various powers, and the non-dual realization itself, which is free from clinging to reality
