(676) and are of one taste, and the power of emptiness is not extinguished, and the interdependent wisdom that appears in various phenomena is the realization of the nature of the mind. In the time of no meditation, there is no distinction between what is experienced and what is done, and what is realized and what is done, and all are considered to go into the cycle of the realization of the great original equality. As Je Gampopa said: Of the three aspects of the mind, essence, nature, and characteristics, the essence is clear and without thought, the nature is free from the three stages of arising, ceasing, and abiding, and the characteristics appear in both samsara and nirvana. At the time of one-pointedness, the essence is realized. At the time of non-proliferation, the nature is realized. At the time of one taste, the characteristics are realized. Similarly, Je Phagmo Drupa and Je Zhang and others also said that the nature is realized at one-pointedness and the essence is realized at non-proliferation. The essence and nature of the mind are said to be only different aspects of the same essence (677), so there is no difference. If you think that one-pointedness and non-proliferation are also similar realizations, then they are not the same. Although they are similar in terms of the appearance of awareness itself, there are also differences in the purity of clinging to experience, and whether or not all external and internal phenomena are realized as unborn is very different, which will be known from the explanation. Secondly, Je Gomchung said: One-pointedness wanders in the middle of darkness. Non-proliferation takes the calculation of emptiness without existence. One taste is distracted by the waves of mixing. No meditation, the sun is covered by clouds. The meaning of this is: In one-pointedness, until the essence is not seen, even if the mind remains in a clear and empty state, it is obscured by various experiences, and there is no faith or certainty in the wisdom that the essence of awareness is clear and unobstructed, like wandering in the dark, the meaning of not seeing what should be seen. (678) In various non-proliferations, due to the clinging to emptiness of external and internal phenomena and the clinging to the experience of certainty of emptiness, one is distracted or despised without being familiar with the interdependence of cause and effect in the aspect of appearance, which is holding the calculation of emptiness without annihilation. In one taste, when appearance and mind are experienced and realized as one, without finding the object of devotion and compassion, one is confused about the aspect of means such as pure appearance and compassion.

It is thought that there is a fall into inferiority, just like being swept away by a torrent of water, the dangerous place is very large. In any kind of non-meditation state, even if the realization of being separated from the object of meditation and the meditator arises, if one has not separated from the dualistic appearance like illusion, it is thought that it means that the obscuration of realization has not been cleared away, just like the sun being covered by clouds. Third, Je Gomchung said, "The after-attainment of one-pointedness is clinging to reality, the after-attainment of non-elaboration is illusion, the after-attainment of one taste is emptiness, and the after-attainment of non-meditation is compassion." This is to say that in one-pointedness, because the clinging to inner experience has not been purified, in the after-attainment, one has not eliminated the clinging to reality of the object of grasping and the grasper, but the appearance of clinging to reality appears. In non-elaboration, because one realizes that all dharmas are unborn and empty, in the after-attainment, only the appearance of the object and the subject appears, but there is no clinging to reality to this, and the appearance of illusion appears. In one taste, in the after-attainment, one does not know that all appearances are the union of appearance and emptiness, but because of the power of the previous clinging to emptiness not being purified, the appearance of emptiness is one-sided, so the after-attainment appears as emptiness. In the time of non-meditation, because of the mixture of shamatha and vipassana, although the after-attainment is not completely absent, there is a door for the appearance of objectless great compassion in the after-attainment that appears slightly, so it is said that the after-attainment arises as compassion. As it is said in the Samadhiraja Sutra, "These aggregates are originally empty, knowing the unborn nature. Not dwelling in equality, entering sentient beings with compassion. During that time, one does not deviate from the true path of the Buddha Dharma." Also, as the great Brahmin said, "The supreme abode of the non-dual mind, the three realms are completely pervaded. The flower of compassion, holding the fruit of benefiting others. The mind is the most supreme, benefiting others." It is like this. Je Gyare said, "Between the middle of non-elaboration and non-meditation, the remaining clinging to reality appears as illusion. In the superior non-meditation, there is no appearance." Because it is thought that the after-appearance of illusion also appears in non-meditation, so if this is the case, then in its after-attainment, compassion like illusion must also appear. Fourth, Je Gomchung said, "One-pointedness has the stain of clinging to reality, non-elaboration has the stain of not knowing, one taste has the stain of experience, and non-meditation has the stain of the object of knowledge." This is to say that in one-pointedness, the clinging to experience and definite understanding has not been purified.
