This pure land, only now do I know it is the fruit. Alas, precious realm of mind, in the causal stage (558) it is the very fruit. As it is said. Furthermore, in the natural course of the primordial Mahāmudrā, having realized that all phenomena are of one nature, and knowing the meaning of the co-emergence of afflictions to be abandoned and antidote wisdom as of equal taste, one does not fall into emptiness as an antidote. In the 'Two Examinations' it is said: 'Pure wisdom with form, in the various discriminations of samsara, there is not the slightest difference.' And: 'Samsara, anger, and so forth, those phenomena are nirvana.' Also, Nāgārjuna says: 'In samsara and nirvana, there is not the slightest difference.' And so on. Maitrīpa says: 'Afflictions are great wisdom.' As it is said. Furthermore, by knowing the primordial Mahāmudrā as the pervasive lord of all appearances and existence, if one understands the reason why the very nature of all virtuous roots, including those with characteristics, does not transcend the emptiness of self-nature purity, then the Dharma (559) increases. Therefore, one does not fall into further increasing it with a conceptually fabricated emptiness. Virupa says: 'All dualistic appearances such as happiness and suffering are the play of the Dharma-nature primordial Mahāmudrā. Even the play itself, because it is unreal, impermanent, and changing, never transcends the realm of emptiness of reality.' Also, Śavaripa says: 'All conditioned actions are primordially the realm of Dharma.' Also, Maitrīpa says: 'When one directly realizes that nature, all appearances and existence are Mahāmudrā, the Dharmakāya is vast and pervasive.' As it is said. Furthermore, Lord Gampopa said: 'Experience falling into realization, and realization falling into experience, these two.' The former is: relying on special methods such as life-force exercises, meditating on the nature of mind, a good experience of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality arises. Believing in this, holding it as supreme, thinking there is nothing superior to this, one clings to the experience and cultivates it. The latter is: relying on the blessings of the guru, when the nature of mind is realized as not established in any way and without anything to grasp, experiences of bliss, clarity, and so forth arise spontaneously from within. Being happy when they arise and unhappy when they do not, one strives for them and abides in them. To this, Lord Drigungpa says: 'The blissful bliss and the clear clarity, in

As it is said. At this time, some people say: "The thought of abandoning the four mistakes is not Mahamudra. If it is not a thought, it cannot be abandoned. If it can be abandoned without thought, then all sentient beings do not need to work hard, why does Mahamudra not arise?" Therefore, if it is really Mahamudra, there is no mistake or wrong path. If there is, it is not Mahamudra." Those who say this are just trying to say it. Why? As Maitripa's teachings were quoted above (561), and "Thoughts are self-liberated, great wisdom" and so on, it has been said that if you know the nature of thoughts, the opportunity for thoughts to turn into Mahamudra will arise. However, here, in general, the self-image of the thought of abandoning mistakes is not recognized as Mahamudra, so it seems to be sophistry. If there is no thought, then the object to be abandoned cannot be abandoned, then the Sutra Ornament says: "The wise with the power of non-thinking wisdom, always all equally act, relying on the forest of sins, like poison destroys poison." And the Introduction to the Middle Way says: "The obscurations of afflictions and knowledge, the antidote to darkness, is emptiness, so if you want to quickly know everything, you should cultivate the principle of emptiness." etc. will become unreasonable. By practicing all non-discriminating wisdom, all objects to be abandoned cannot be abandoned, so it will become meaningless. Admitting that all sentient beings have no thoughts (562) will become a joke. If Mahamudra has no mistakes or wrong paths, then "Fools who practice Mahamudra mostly turn into the cause of animals" etc., what you said will become self-defeating. Also, if Mahamudra has no mistakes or wrong paths, then according to the same kind of reason, it is impossible for all grounds and paths to have wrong paths and mistakes. In this way, many faults of scriptures and reasoning will fall. Second, cutting off the three wrong paths, divided into three: First, explaining the differences in the signs of wrong paths; Second, explaining the reasons why they turn into wrong paths; Third, explaining the means of not entering wrong paths. First, in general, many imitators etc.
