The reason for being slightly unfamiliar is like hail or snow falling on the sea, melting and turning into water. First, memory fades and becomes slightly scattered, but after that, observing the thoughts that arise, immediately transforms into oneness in the state of mind without arising. As the great Brahmin said: Like a crow flying from a ship, circling and circling, it returns there again. Shavara said: Like a crow flying from a ship, circling in all directions, it returns there again. Even if the desiring (534) mind cuts off the trail of thoughts, the original nature of the first mind will return to its primordial state. Non-extinction manifestation is, the reason for being very accustomed is like a small fire being harmed by wet wood and storms, but when a great fire breaks out in the forest, the treetops and storms also become helpers of the fire. Most thoughts appear as unborn, and again, heavy and very uncomfortable thoughts and appearances arise in the mind, and the manifestation also makes those appearances appear as the play of the mind without arising. As the great Brahmin said: Like the flames spreading in the forest, all the appearances that come face to face, become one with your root emptiness. Maitripa said: Affliction is great wisdom, like the fire of the forest is the companion of yoga. Appearance self-liberation is the Dharmadhatu, thought self-liberation is great wisdom, non-dual equality is the Dharmakaya. Regarding this meaning, Je Phag (535) mo Drupa said: After transforming thoughts into the path, if you meditate according to the order of the four sessions, the hail that was once familiar but not encountered, will be burned by the forest fire, and bliss, clarity, and emptiness will arise, resulting in four concise experiences. First, being familiar but not encountering is, for example, two close friends, suddenly meeting on the road, like recognizing each other at the time of meeting. Similarly, the yogi is also like that, when discriminating thoughts arise, immediately determines that one's own mind is emptiness. Meeting and destroying is that action. Second, hail is, even if hail falls from the clouds, as soon as it falls on the hail, it immediately turns into water. If thoughts arise from distraction, after arising, it will be known as mind. Mind.

That Dharmakaya is free from elaboration, and realization arises without effort, which is called the action of external display. Third, like a forest fire burning, for example, when a fire breaks out in a forest, trees, roots, sentient beings, (page 536) clean and unclean places, etc., are burned without discrimination. No matter what happens with wind and hail, it does not die but instead helps the fire. As soon as the great fire of realization blazes, all kinds of good and bad thoughts, as well as grasping, attachment, aversion, etc., are burned in the unborn nature, without acceptance or rejection, without negation or affirmation. The more thoughts there are, the more they become helpers for the arising of thoughts, which is called non-extinction transformation. When realization is stable in this way, it is clear and uninterrupted, free from extremes, blissful, clear, non-conceptual, and without attachment. Even if pierced with a needle, happiness arises. Day and night, shifts, going and coming, etc., when there is no difference in any behavior, it is the fourth of blissful and clear experience. These are the ways in which experience arises. This is explained in detail. Fourth, there are two aspects: the explanation of the meaning of illusion-like, and the way in which subsequent attainment appears as illusion-like. First, some people think that it is only the appearance of delusion (page 537) without being in the real meaning, and that it is the meaning of illusion-like to be sure of this. Some people think that when the experience of dwelling or the experience of emptiness is over, when the appearance of thought arises, the appearance of thought appears in a dull and unclear way, which is like an illusion. Others think that whatever appears in the mind, whatever appears, is like an illusion, and they cultivate the memory of it. However, the first view is not correct, because it is only a temporary non-obstruction of the appearance, and in the real meaning, it is held that there is not even a little dependent arising, so it will fall into the side of annihilation. The second view is not correct, because it only appears as the way of experiential appearance without the nature of appearance being determined. The third view is not correct, because it only appears as thinking that appearance is like an illusion. So, how should it be understood? In general, the so-called illusion-like has two aspects: the Dharma nature and the omniscient are said to be illusion-like, and the form and other things are said to be illusion-like. (page 538) The former is established only in the aspect of existence, but does not appear in the conventional, and the latter is said from the aspect of appearing in the conventional, although the self-nature is not established. What is relevant here is like the latter.
