Now, since it transcends everything, whatever is remembered, whether it is with characteristics or without characteristics, adorned and established by wisdom and conceptualization, is still conceptualization. Even abiding in the thought of 'not remembering anything' becomes conceptualization, so it is slightly distracted in meaning (521). As the great Brahmin said, 'If the impurities of the mind are purified, it is coemergent; at that time, opposing factors will not enter.' And, 'If the mind is made not to be the mind, then one will attain unsurpassed enlightenment.' And, Birwapa said, 'If one remembers that itself and is biased towards either of the two extremes, because it revolves in samsara, it is the root of existence. Look at the essence of the mind, which is the root of everything. Having looked, one does not see; if one is free from conceptualization, one will surely be liberated.' And, 'Emptiness, non-arising, transcendence of wisdom, and freedom from extremes, etc., whatever one remembers, one does not abide in the meaning of reality, it is very far away.' And, Shāwara said, 'Look, look, do not look at anything. Meditate, meditate, do not meditate on anything.' etc. So, how should a beginner who has not generated such a meaning of transcending mind in their continuum (522) act? Although the meaning of reality has been explained as it is, since it has not been generated in the continuum, for the time being, protect and increase the meaning of the coemergent nature of mind that was previously introduced, along with the experience and certainty, eliminating the obstacles of straying and distraction. Through the sequence of the four yogas, when will the meaning of reality be unmistakenly manifest in the rank of wisdom? For example, it should be understood through the examples of the crescent moon, the lion cub, and the young child, and it will also be understood from future explanations. Third, like this, both non-meditation and non-distraction possess all the methods of placement mentioned above. That is, not thinking, not contemplating, not conceptualizing, not fabricating, not adulterating, not analyzing, etc., are all included in the category of not meditating on anything. Naturally relaxed, one's own nature, the way of abiding, reality, etc., are all included in the category of not being distracted from the meaning. Similarly, not meditating (523) and placing the mind in its own nature is calm abiding; not being distracted in meaning is insight; non-meditation and non-distraction becoming of one taste possesses the meaning of the union of calm abiding and insight. For this, from the sutra perspective, it is non-conceptual wisdom,
