One co-emergent. The essence is emptiness, free from elaboration, the nature is clear, the enjoyment body is complete, unobstructed compassion accomplishes whatever. The signs of these three are even now, everything appears as emptiness, and the ten signs of space-wisdom appear, and the ability to produce object appearances, these three are unfailing object signs, the object-possessor is the knowledge related to that. That is free from conceptuality, not mistaken, the root is the bindu free from elaboration. It is extensively taught in all the sutras and tantras. Thus it is said. It also has three aspects: essence, nature, and compassion. (352) The first, essence, is the wisdom of one's own mind, which is primordially clear and aware, co-emergent, and free from all elaborations, that freedom from elaboration is the Dharmakaya. Nature is the aspect, the self-appearance of that Dharmakaya, all aspects are clear, that is the Sambhogakaya. Compassion is the unceasing self-power of dependent arising, from which the actions of object, appearance, and mind all arise and are accomplished, that is the Nirmanakaya. The signs of these three are also present in the minds of ordinary beings who are bound by all attachments. When the nature of all external and internal things is analyzed with reason, it appears as emptiness to the intellect and subsequent cognition. And, in the self-nature of the momentary consciousness, the appearance of self-awareness is the representation of all dharmas. A little meditation, with the fleshy eye and so on, the appearance of the ten signs of the indivisibility of space and wisdom is the representation of the Sambhogakaya. And, the eye producing eye consciousness and so on, the ability to produce actions separately in the object appearances of the six aggregates is the representation of the Nirmanakaya. The arising of these three without separation is the unfailing object sign (353). The sign of the object-possessor is the consciousness related to that object, the wisdom of self-awareness by which each self knows its own nature, free from conceptuality and not mistaken, that is the bindu of the root free from elaboration, as the Victorious Ones have taught in all the sutras and tantras. Because in some it is taught with a provisional meaning, in some with a definitive meaning, in some it is hidden, and in some it is taught clearly. Here, what is the extreme or elaboration to be abandoned? It is all dharmas included in the apprehended and the apprehender, that is, existence and non-existence, real and unreal, permanent and impermanent, happiness and
