It is inseparable, being of the nature of dwelling in the Middle Way, free from all extremes of elaboration such as existence and non-existence, and being of one essence with great bliss from the very beginning (77). Where does the wisdom that realizes emptiness arise? In the stage of the accumulation phase, the form of emptiness is perfected by relying on the yoga of the six branches; at the end of the path of joining, from the cessation of one of the one hundred and eighteen winds, to the cessation of twenty-one thousand six hundred winds at the end of the eleventh ground, at the end of which it arises, having the nature of generating the unchanging bliss wisdom, I prostrate and pay homage to the goddess Samantabhadri. Here, like applying paint to the mirror of young women, completely abandoning all partiality, not measured by one's own mind, but seeing it directly, having a convincing meaning, the emptiness that possesses all excellence is called dwelling in the Middle Way, because it transcends all worldly reasoning and metaphors, and is free from all clinging to extremes such as existence and non-existence. How are worldly metaphors and reasoning abandoned? In worldly convention, it is held that things like vases exist (78), and things like flowers in the sky do not exist, so in worldly convention, these two become metaphors for existence and non-existence. Similarly, the fact that the existence and non-existence of a vase and a flower in the sky have the same taste becomes a metaphor that transcends the world, because in worldly convention, these two do not have the same taste. Similarly, emptiness, which possesses all excellence, is not form, because there are no atoms; nor is it formless, because the form of emptiness is clearly visible. How do we know that emptiness, which has abandoned all partiality, transcends worldly metaphors, and that the vase and the flower in the sky become the same taste in metaphors that transcend the world? It is said in the Stainless Light Sutra: Here, in order for yogis to destroy all partiality, Vajra Yoga is non-discriminating, abandoning permanence and annihilation, transcending worldly metaphors, completely abandoning the thought of existence and non-existence, the young woman's

Like an image imprinted on a mirror, one's own mind, without (79) examination, is directly seen, which is of a credible meaning. Among all aspects, arising from the sky, Samantabhadra, all powerful, abides in the nature of all sentient beings, the co-emergent joy transcends reason and metaphor. In this metaphor, existence and non-existence become one, because the dharmas are different. For example, the worldly example is a vase, because the dharmas are different, so the flowers in the sky are completely non-existent. Similarly, because the flowers in the sky and the dharmas are different, the vase is completely existent. Therefore, these two become metaphors for mutually different dharmas. Similarly, because annihilation and the dharmas are different, existence is completely existent. Because existence and the dharmas are different, annihilation is completely non-existent. The term "annihilation" refers to Nirvana, which is the characteristic of non-existence. Similarly, the transcendental example is the vase and the flowers in the sky, these two become one, because the dharmas are different. The vase and the flowers in the sky are not the same in the mundane (80), because they contradict each other. Whatever exists will not become non-existent, and whatever does not exist will not become existent, because of the nature of existence and non-existence. Whatever becomes the characteristic of existence in the mind will not become the characteristic of non-existence. Whatever becomes the characteristic of non-existence in the mind will not become the characteristic of existence, because they are contradictory. Here, too, the nature of emptiness and compassion, like the pure color imprinted on a mirror by a young girl, is not the characteristic of color, because there are no atoms. It is not the characteristic of formlessness, because there is the form of emptiness. Therefore, the conventional is the form of emptiness, and emptiness is the form of the conventional, because it transcends worldly metaphors. Whatever mind exists is mindless, free from the characteristics of permanence and annihilation, and is the inseparability of emptiness and compassion. In terms of ultimate truth, the two minds transcend existence and non-existence because the dharmas are different.
