By abandoning all, through conduct without weariness for countless eons, the seventh bhumi is attained, and thereafter, ripening sentient beings with the aspect of discriminating wisdom and samadhi such as unfailing dharani and the treasury of space, the ornament of the essence of bodhi is also practiced for countless eons, as stated in the sutras. Therefore, relying on such conduct of a bodhisattva, attaining the aspect of a buddha is shown in the Paramita Vehicle to require three countless eons. Moreover, it is said in the Vinaya Sutra: 'All-seeing, lamp, jewel crest, appear at the end of three countless eons, the first is Shakyamuni.' Therefore, it is also said in the Paramita Vehicle that attaining buddhahood requires three countless eons, but this is merely for the sake of benefiting sentient beings, abiding in compassion for three countless eons, etc., and not because it takes so long to accomplish the dharmakaya for oneself. As it is said: 'The teachings of countless, etc., are not tolerated for the ultimate meaning, in the relative, it is out of compassion, the Tathagata smiles at those concordant causes.' Thus, each of the three vehicles has its own path, the Shravakas have five paths: the path of accumulation, the path of preparation, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, and the path of no more learning. Similarly (700), the Pratyekabuddhas have five, and the Mahayana has five, known as the fifteen paths of three fives. The nature, distinctions, and boundaries of each of these should be well learned from the Paramita sutras and treatises to be understood. Second, explaining the uncommon path, there is the distinction of the times of the four tantras, and the explanation of the actual path. First: 'Here, by the difference of methods, from that Paramita path, merely possessing the skillful means of the conduct and action tantras, there are sixty lifetimes, the yoga tantra has sixteen lifetimes, the unsurpassed tantra with one lifetime, the diligent one will surely accomplish.' It is said, that is, the actual basis of the path is the same as the Paramita path, and although the lower vehicles and the mantra vehicle are the same in terms of the ultimate progression in meaning, in this mantra vehicle, due to the inconceivable power of skillful means,

It is said that the wisdom of the Buddhas is quickly realized. As it is said in "The Three Lamps of Conduct": "If the meaning is one, there is no confusion, There are many methods and no difficulties, Relying on the power of sharp faculties, The mantra vehicle is particularly excellent." As it is said, it is distinguished by having many methods and so on. These are also distinguished by the difference between the easy path of salvation and the quick path of salvation. Therefore, compared to the path of Paramita, it is only necessary to have the skillful means of accomplishing the benefit of oneself and others with the three types of deities of body, speech, and mind, as well as mantras, vidyas, and dharani mantras, as stated in the Action and Performance Tantras. One can attain enlightenment in sixty lifetimes. It was said at the age of one hundred, so if each lifetime is equivalent to one hundred and one years, then in terms of years, it is six thousand years. If one possesses the mantras and mudras of the Yoga Tantra, it takes sixteen lifetimes. With the unsurpassed path, enlightenment can be attained in one lifetime. If one practices with diligence, it is certain to be accomplished in three years and three months. This is not just a statement of the greatness of mantras, but it is certain. Some people who have entered the mantras think that the Paramita and the mantra path are not compatible. This is because they are possessed by the demon of wrong thoughts. As it is said in "The Immaculate Light": "Without the knowledge of the basis, the knowledge of the path, the knowledge of all aspects, and the knowledge of the aspects of the path, one will not become a Buddha here, because there is no knowledge of all aspects." Therefore. Also, some people say that although they have not obtained the qualities mentioned in the Paramita, they have attained the peace of mind liberation by relying on mantras. Even though they do not possess those qualities themselves, they will appear to others. This is also a perverse statement. It is like saying that I have no food myself, but I will cause a rain of immeasurable food for others. Second, explaining the actual path, there are five paths: the path of accumulation, the path of preparation, the path of seeing, the path of cultivation, and the ultimate path. The first is, as it is said: "First, obtain empowerment, generation, and completion, Know well, believe, and diligently practice, This is called the path of accumulation." It is also said that first, from a qualified lama.
