In the King of Root Tantras, it is said: Having completely abandoned all thoughts, observe for an entire day. If no signs appear at that time, then my words are false. Thus it is said. Furthermore, if one stops clinging to the self of the person and meditates single-mindedly with the intention of definitely emerging from samsara, one will attain the nirvana of the Shravakas. This statement also has nothing to do with the system of Mahamudra, because for the practitioners of Mahamudra, there is neither clinging to self nor clinging to non-self, since they are completely liberated from all clinging. As it is said in the Uttaratantra: The proliferation of self and non-self, the supreme self is the pacification. And the great Brahmin also said: The mind bound by a rope, if released, there is no doubt that it will be liberated. It is as it is said. Furthermore, what need is there to mention that all the doctrines of Mahamudra are in accordance with the doctrines of the Chinese monk? Because the two are completely contradictory. How are they contradictory? The Hwashang, when meditating on non-conceptualization, blocks all appearances and thoughts and then meditates. But the Mahamudra practitioner, as stated above, takes all appearances and sounds as aids to practice. The ancestor of Mahamudra, glorious Saraha, said in the Doha: The ascetic yogi who examines conduct has the city in his mind, enters the palace of the king, and plays with the maiden. Just as one sees sourness by eating sweets, one should recognize all realms as suchness. And, the various appearances of Mahamudra are a great spectacle. Thus he said. In the Doha of glorious Tilopa it is said: Know the innate, without making it in the mind. For the dharmata that is free from elaboration, these experiences, memories, and awareness are false. If you realize they are false, let them go as they are. There is neither gain nor loss, neither good nor bad. And, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, all arise in the nature of Mahamudra, and all dissolve into it. Existence and non-existence are free from elaboration. Do not seek meaning without making it in the mind. Thus he said. The crown jewel of all wise and accomplished ones, Naropa, said in the concise view: These phenomena of appearance and existence are not more important than one's own mind. Because they are apparent and clear, like one's own awareness experience. If

If it is not the mind, it will not appear because there is no connection. Thus, abide in the conventional truth, and it is said that all dharmas reside in the mind. The essence of dharma is the nature of the mind itself. Even if one examines it with reason and analysis, that mind, which is luminous by nature, and the adventitious stains of dualistic thought, whether they are one or different, is a matter of great profundity. Because it is extremely profound, the wise should examine it. Thus it is said. In the condensed words of the Great Seal, it says: All dharmas are one's own mind. To see meaning in external objects is a mistaken mind. It is a dream, therefore its essence is empty. The movement of the mind's awareness is merely, without inherent existence, like the movement of the wind. Its essence is emptiness, like the sky. Thinking that the Dharmakaya is like the sky, therefore it is called the Great Seal. Thus it is said. As for the great accomplished masters of India, we also agree that all appearances and sounds are transformed into the practice of the path. But what about the Great Seal masters of Tibet? The view of this practice lineage is as follows: It considers appearance to be mind, therefore it agrees with the Mind-Only school. It considers mind to be free from elaboration, therefore it agrees with the Madhyamaka school. It considers freedom from elaboration to be the nature of the Great Bliss Body, therefore it agrees with the Unsurpassed Secret Mantra. Therefore, this system is clearly present in this practice lineage. As it is said in the songs of Jetsun Milarepa: Naming the place of origin is not too late now, it is the time of trade to seek profit and gather, it is the place of exchange between humans, Chinese, and Tibetans. On the high snow mountain dwells Nyenpa Tseringma, the mountain is a peak of auspicious crystal corners, at the foot of Lhamo Gyalmo, isn't it called the nomadic borrowing place Seylung? In the middle of the barren land river, you twelve thousand hosts of obstacles, from the heaven of Others' Emanations downwards, to the hungry ghosts underground upwards, the mute nagas and sky-soarers, gandharvas, flesh-eating demons, non-humans, dung-eating ghosts, pot-bellied ghosts, rakshasa demons, zombies, yakshas, elementals, etc., it is not enough to say each name one by one, an inconceivable multitude of hosts, especially the five terrifying rakshasa women, speak unpleasant and evil words to me, saying that from this life one must go to the next life, I am only afraid of death, so the mind is trained in the unborn, inherent nature, the self-liberation of samsara is the gift of the ground, the meaning of the essence is introduced, inner awareness is naked without support.
