It will come to the bottom of that place." He said. Furthermore, from the mouth of Dharma Lord Khachö Wangpo: "However appearances may appear, it is good. May all refutations, affirmations, and biases be pacified." And: "Whatever is done with this fleeting dreamlike appearance will appear. What is the point of binding oneself? Loosen it gently in a state of unattached ease. This unadorned relaxation is the path to enlightenment." He said so. From the vajra words of Gyalwa Wangpo Chödrag Gyatso: "Who painted this mandala of knowledge, so brilliantly adorned with countless forms? If one cannot paint oneself, and if it is painted by knowledge, then what is the basis for painting other than oneself? If it is not painted by knowledge on the basis of knowledge, the picture is bright, and the picture without a painter is wonderful! The sound of the woman who marvels at this picture is that of Mosambu. Hearing this sound, I, the illusory being, have experienced countless dreams of the three realms of samsara, and traversing the path of liberation and becoming great enlightenment, to tame bodies and realms, and so on. (538) Although I have experienced countless inconceivable dreams, this mind of mine, the experiencer, dissolves into the clear light of the sky, and is overwhelmed by the sleep of great bliss, and experiences no dreams at all. This mind, the vajra secret realm of the mind that is naturally non-existent, is not seen by those with the blind eyes of childish intellect, and they slander it, saying it does not exist. Those with the dim eyes of ignorance see this illusory hair-flower as existent, and cling to existence, alas! This mind of mine exists, what is this that exists? It does not exist, what is this that does not exist? If it does not exist, who is it that knows it does not exist? If it exists, what is it that knows it exists? Please tell me. If you say it is knowledge, since the mind is not an object of knowledge, it cannot be known. Knowledge without an object knows nothing, what is this knowledge? Whose is it? Knowledge and the knowable are mutually dependent, like the near shore and the far shore." He said so. Therefore, according to the precious Kagyu tradition, the way of establishing the view, the way of experiencing the view through meditation, when conduct is seized by the view, it is free from acceptance and rejection. In the state of subsequent attainment, which is like an illusion (539), the way of accepting and rejecting black and white actions in an illusory way is like that. That

Furthermore, according to the view of the Kagyu Rinpoches, when practicing Mahamudra, what need is there to even mention blocking the appearances of the six consciousnesses? Because bestowing the fourth empowerment in the mandala of phenomenal existence Mahamudra is the custom of the Mudra school, and unforgetting mindfulness and abiding in the state of self-knowing self-illumination are the actual practice of meditation, and all appearances and thoughts are the inspiration for meditation, so they are used as companions. Therefore, you who shoot arrows of refutation without seeing the previous target, who will they hit? Think carefully! If those fools who claim to follow the Mudra school only refute their words with scripture and reason, then also refute the fishermen, hunters, and butchers who kill living beings, cut open their intestines and eat them, etc., with scripture and reason! The wise and accomplished predecessors of the Mudra school did not accept (540) such a claim as the previous one. Furthermore, if it is said that cutting off all appearances of form, thereby being free from attachment to form, etc., these faults do not exist for the Mudra school, because after they cut off the appearances of form, they do not focus on space. Moreover, the six-branch yogis say: "The vajra of the mind abides in space, severing the connection between object and subject, when emptiness and form manifest, each is gathered and practiced." As it is said, during the night yoga, in a dark room, relying on binding the actions of the three immovables, thereby severing the connection between the object and subject of the six consciousnesses. Not thinking about anything, not distinguishing anything, abandoning all mental activity and abiding in equanimity, and during the day yoga, focusing the mind on the cloudless sky and abiding in equanimity, because this is the custom of this instruction. What is the fault of focusing on space after cutting off the appearances of form, it can be said for this instruction, but not for the Mudra school. However, this instruction does not have the fault of falling into the realm of formlessness (541), because when abiding in equanimity in that way, the ten signs of day and night will manifest. As it is said, the one called the supreme first Buddha
