This is a pleasant place. (454) It is filled with ascetics who travel, and also with those who have attained accomplishment. The rivers and clear streams, and the extremely clear streams, are filled with powerful dragons, and there are many people of low caste. Furthermore, there are practitioners who act in various ways, observing the body with the external body and abiding. Whatever mountains or rivers, or oceans, there are in the northern part of Jambudvipa, are seen through the wisdom gained from hearing or through the divine eye. Five hundred yojanas from the snowy mountains, it is filled with various kinds of trees. Another mountain, filled with delightful beasts and flocks of birds, covered with cedar trees, divine trees, tamarru trees, kumumaka trees, and rirarka trees, is copper-colored, twenty yojanas high, and perfectly connected with a thousand caves. Far beyond that, within a hundred yojanas, it is also completely surrounded by rivers. There are no roots, gums, or vines there, and not a single medicine or forest (455) grows. Far beyond that, there is a mountain called Tise, five hundred yojanas high, white in color, with the nature of silver, and completely covered with golden horns. The great king, Arya-jata, resides there. There is a lotus lake there, and very cool water flows from the lakes. Blue utpala flowers are also very common. The lotus ponds are also filled with swans, karanda birds, and chakravaka birds. Beyond that, there is a mountain called Tise's Horn, five yojanas high. The trees there make humans or non-humans happy, because they are very happy to sing. Of its five horns, one is golden, one is crystal, and three have the nature of silver. The ten directions are adorned with divine flowers, and the surroundings of that mountain are covered with lotuses, so it is very fragrant and pleasant. A rushing river flows from the gorge of that mountain, and the very clear water is filled with swans (456), karanda birds, and flocks of mandarin ducks.

It is extremely joyful. It is said that Mount Kailash has five hundred yojanas, and the distance of the horns of Mount Kailash is five yojanas. The materials of the five horns are, the first two are gold and crystal, and the remaining three are made of silver. The current Mount Kailash possesses those characteristics, especially the snow region has a thousand yojanas, and to its north is a mountain like the color of copper, and to its north is Mount Kailash. Therefore, the snow region mentioned in the scriptures and the snow region of Shambhala do not have the same meaning. In this scripture, the dimensions of each place are clearly stated, but the dimensions of Tibet are not stated. Therefore, it is said that the thousand yojanas of the snow region are the dimensions of Tibet. Moreover, it is said that there are many people of low caste in the snow region, which undoubtedly refers to the people of Gangtise in Tibet. In addition, at the beginning of the time of strife, when the son of skyabs seng (嘉布僧) and the eighteen evil-sounding armies fought, accompanied by one rAupaati (茹巴帝) army, dressed in women's clothing, entered the mountain cave of the snowy mountains, and the race that multiplied from there was Tibet, which seems to be in agreement with the statement of the teacher shes rab go cha (希饶果恰, Wisdom Armor). Furthermore, it is also said in other heretical doctrines: Between the two seas of east and west, the snow region is spread. The fragment of the snow mountain thrown by Hanumadha grows, and the stone fort says that is Mount Kailash. Therefore, the abode of the Great自在天, the land relied upon by the son who protects the earth, the place where five hundred arhats reside, is not the current Mount Kailash. It is said that some people who explain this also wrote this way: In the vast treatises "The Emergence of Youth" and "Bharata", it is said that between the two seas of the east and west of this continent, the snow mountain is spread. Previously, when the wife of King Ten Chariots' son Joyful, rol rnyed ma (若涅玛), was snatched away by Lanka Ten-faced, he launched a war against him and killed many Rakshasas. At that time, the brother of Ten-faced, a meditator, inhaled a strong wind, and all the armies except Joyful and Hanumadha turned into skeletons. In order to revive them, he took the snow mountain and sprinkled terrible nectar on it, thereby reviving them. Afterwards, the monkey Hanumadha threw a fragment of the snow mountain back to its original place.
