Sound and Dharma, namely the six objects; the mouth, hands, feet, anus, urethra, and the genitals from which semen flows, namely the six functional faculties; the actions of speaking, taking, walking, excreting feces, excreting urine, and transferring semen, namely the six actions of the functional faculties. The situation with these is that from the beginning, the Great Bindu, the indestructible Vajra of Mind, exists, but in the appearance of delusion, it is with defilements. Sentient beings are with obscurations, while Buddhas are without obscurations. Moreover, from the Great Bindu with defilements, wind arises, from wind arise the channels, and from the channels the body manifestly arises. As it is said in the scriptures, from the stainless light, the basis and the based of the aggregates are taught, namely the skandhas and so forth. Here, for the body, the basis of the five skandhas are the elements (48), namely earth and so forth, which become the basis of the elements. Why is that? Because, here, if there is no nature of earth and so forth, then the conditions of ignorance and so forth will not exist. If there are no conditions of ignorance, action, and consciousness, then there will be no skandhas of form and so forth. Because the person of the Great Man with the nature of the four great elements and the nature of the six elements exists, therefore, the basis of the skandhas becomes the elements. For the supreme body, the basis of the collection of elements becomes the number of seventy-two thousand channels. And the basis of those channels is the life-force wind, because it is the cause of action. It also has ten aspects, changing from holding, which should be described. The basis of the life-force winds is the mind, so it is said. Moreover, the two, wind and mind, due to gathering in the navel chakra, throat chakra, heart chakra, and crown chakra, therefore, in sequence, there arise the awakened mind that grasps things as real with various conceptualizations, and the mind of dreams (49) that is moved by the life-force wind and exists and does not exist, and the mind of deep sleep that is overwhelmed by darkness, and the delusion of the mind in the fourth state that is completely tainted by the defilement of desire that is difficult to reverse. These are what appear. The stages of the clear path are also two, namely the maturation of others.

The four empowerments and the stages of the path to liberation are as follows: First, the vase empowerment is conferred upon the body, introducing that all aggregates, elements, and sense bases are primordially abiding in the nature of the deity, and then the stage of generating meditation is practiced. In the completion stage, the key point is the yoga of retraction and meditation or the illusory body, thereby purifying the subtle and gross defilements of the inverted appearance that appears outwardly to the mind in the waking state. The waking state becomes one with the mind that grasps the appearance to be grasped, and thus the waking state is completely purified, appearing as the intention of the nirmanakaya. Similarly, after conferring the secret empowerment on speech, the key point is the yoga of life force and retention or dreams, thereby purifying the mind in the dream state, appearing as the intention of the sambhogakaya. Similarly, after conferring the wisdom-jnana empowerment on the mind, the key point is the yoga of mindfulness or tummo, thereby purifying the defilements of the mind in the state of absorption, appearing as the intention of the dharmakaya. After conferring the fourth empowerment on the realm of jñana, the key point is the limb of samadhi or the yoga of clear light, thereby purifying the mind in the state of deep sleep, appearing as the intention of the great bliss body or the svabhavikakaya. This is the essence of the heart of the unsurpassed tantras. Therefore, the glorious lama teaches sentient beings to be tamed in the manner that "whether the Buddhas appear or not, the three appearances of outer, inner, and other are not established as they appear, but the suchness of the dharmadhatu remains constant," thereby one will be able to understand well the way in which the basis to be purified, the object to be purified, the means of purification, and the result of purification abide. Having understood this, one strives with great diligence in the means of purifying defilements, thereby realizing the result of purification, which is the kindness of the glorious lama, and therefore one is worthy of prostration in all ways. This is how I speak of the intention of this text. Here it is said: The lord of the night, dwelling in the midst of countless stars, though white and clear, the lotus cannot bloom.
