If, when speaking of the earth, one doubts omniscience because it relies on the speech and discernment of others, then when speaking of all-seeing, it is also similar to doubting all-seeing because it relies on the speech and (43) discernment of others. There, too, another distinction must be shown. Saying "not only knowing" is also contradictory, because if the Buddha does not see, you yourself believe that he must not know, which is contradictory. Not only seeing, but also because he knows the nature of all dharmas, free from obscuration, this is also the same. Here it is said: The small conch shell makes a sound, even the great makara is frightened. With the intellect of a bad person like me, even the wisdom of the great is subdued. This is just an intermediate verse. Although it transforms in that way, how can it eliminate the illusions of the four states by showing the suchness of the outer, inner, and other three? Just as showing the whiteness of a conch shell does not eliminate the illusion of mistaking a variegated rope for a snake. Those of you who, from the great ocean of the three baskets, labor to obtain the jewel of terminology, and the steps of the four great tantras are manifestly (44) high, dwelling on the summit of Mount Sumeru with definite meaning, without the path to obtain the wish-fulfilling jewel of the Tathagatagarbha, it is true that you say such things. Therefore, it is said: Regarding this, the Blessed One's various arrangements of the limits and shapes of the outer world realms are spoken in accordance with what appears to sentient beings due to the power of their own merit and the habitual tendencies of sinful minds, but not spoken as truly coming from reality. As it is said in the "Stainless Light Sutra": Now the Blessed One has spoken of the limits of the world realms by the power of thought. Here, because of the power of the thoughts of sentient beings with various inclinations in the conventional truth of the world, the limits of the world realms are spoken to sentient beings and appear. Ultimately, there are no limits that can be set on the world realms, because of the power of the merit and sins of sentient beings. Here, the five-cubit cave, wherever it is, is a cave where those free from desire (45) or Bodhisattvas dwell, there is merit.

Through the power and miraculous abilities of relying on earth and wisdom, the wheel-turning king and his retinue come and enter. It is not created by anyone, and the retinue of the wheel-turning king who enters that cave is not narrow. In truth, the measure of the world realm should also be understood in the same way, it is said. Thus, the reason why the Bhagavan spoke of the measure of the world realm externally and the measure of the body internally is to enable one to understand the purity of the outer mandala and the inner mandala. Just as the height of Mount Meru is one hundred thousand yojanas externally, the height of the spine of the body is one cubit. With that measure, the world realm is said to be four hundred thousand yojanas and the body is four cubits. As it is said in the "Stainless Light": "Here, whatever is the measure of the world realm, the body is like the external." (p. 46) Therefore, the measure of the world realm is the meaning of the world mandala, and the measure of the body is the meaning of the body mandala. The body is called a mandala. Thus it is said. In this way, the height of Mount Meru, the measure of the external world realm, is one hundred thousand yojanas, and similarly, the height of the spine of the body is one cubit. With the measure of a cubit, the body is four cubits. The measure of the height of Mount Meru, one hundred thousand yojanas, is that the world realm is four hundred thousand yojanas. Thus, it is said with the combination of scripture. Therefore, there is nothing whatsoever called the world realm other than the Vajra body. So, what is the Vajra body itself? Generally speaking, it is all sentient beings of the three realms, but mainly, it is the great person who possesses thirty-six coarse elements, which is proclaimed as the basis for training in the Vajrayana path. What are those? Formation, feeling, perception, form, consciousness, and wisdom, which are the six aggregates; wind (47), fire, water, earth, space, and consciousness, which are the six elements; nose, eye, tongue, body, ear, and mind, which are the six faculties; smell, form, taste, touch,
