Transcending the past, perfectly transcending all uses of language, perfectly transcending all paths of speech, free from all elaborations, free from all acceptance and rejection, free from all opening and closing, free from all speculation, not to be investigated, not the domain of speculation, perfectly transcending all domains of speculation, without characteristics, free from characteristics, perfectly transcending the domain of characteristics, perfectly transcending the domain of childishness, perfectly transcending the battlefield of all demons, perfectly transcending the battlefield of all afflictions, perfectly transcending the domain of consciousness, not a place, not abiding, peaceful, the domain of the wisdom of the noble ones, known individually by their own self-awareness. Immaculate, unstained, pure, excellent, supreme, most excellent, constant, stable, eternal, of indestructible nature. Whether the Tathagata (如来) appears or does not appear, this dharmadhatu (法界) is simply abiding. Also, in the Sutra of the Samadhi of Miraculous Transformation of Perfect Tranquility, it is well explained through two truths: The five skandhas (五蕴) are unreal, like illusions, empty and hollow, not arising from proper attention, but arising from aggregation. The dharmadhatu (法界), however, is not hollow, not empty, not unreal, not arising from improper attention, not like illusions, not like mirages, not like reflections of the moon in water, not like echoes in rocks. Who teaches this dharma? Why is that? Because the dharmadhatu is pure, the true truth, not other, suchness (tathata), the non-erroneous suchness. If it is suchness, then who teaches it? The five skandhas are impermanent, suffering, empty, selfless, dependently originated (pratītyasamutpāda), and of the nature of decay. Form (rūpa) arises from dependent origination. Whatever arises from dependent origination is impermanent. Whatever is impermanent is suffering. Whatever is suffering is selfless. Whatever is selfless is without inherent existence. Whatever is without inherent existence is without appearance. Whatever is without appearance is unreal. Whatever is unreal is a false and deceptive dharma. Whatever is a false and deceptive dharma is untrue. Whatever is untrue is not suchness. Whatever is not suchness is not the Tathagata (如来). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is the true reality, the correct reality. Suchness (Tathata). The unerroneous suchness. The non-different suchness. Undistorted. Speaking the truth. Speaking correctly. Speaking wisdom. Possessing the weapon of wisdom. Endowed with boundless wisdom. Omniscient. All-seeing. Endowed with the ten powers. Having attained the other shore of the four fearlessnesses. Non-conceptual. Non-discriminating. Unstained. Like space. Not measurable by countable things. Unmade. Unborn. Unceasing. Easy to enter. Boundless. Without location. Inconceivable. Not to be known by discrimination. Without pervasive movement. Utterly pure. Without defilements. Unarisen. Without activity. Without abiding. Thus it is thought. Thus it is said. If it is said, 'The characteristic of discrimination is the Tathagata,' it is not so, for feeling is like a water bubble. It is evil. It is dependently originated. It arises from the accumulation of contact. That which is born from contact is feeling.' If it is said thus, the Tathagata is not like a water bubble. Not evil. Not dependently originated. The Tathagata is not born from contact. Not born from the accumulation of contact. Like feeling, it is not born from contact. If it is said, 'Perception is like a mirage, name and form, appearance, and attention (འདུས་པ་ལས་ངེས་པར་བྱུང་བའོ། །, 'dus pa las nges par byung ba'o, arising from aggregation).' Like perception, it is not born from the accumulation of eye and form, appearance, and attention. If it is said, 'All formations are unreal, false, of a deceiving nature, born from the accumulation of ignorance. All formations are born from the accumulation of ignorance.' If it is said thus, the Tathagata is not unreal. Not false. Not of a deceiving nature. Like all formations, it is not born from the accumulation of ignorance.
