I myself have learned. Sometimes, though it cannot be said, it is still said. Thus it is. Second is abiding: Again, sometimes... to... merely. Thus, merely making gestures, without mixing speech with anything else, merely reciting is not prohibited. Sometimes, merely reciting mantras clearly and distinctly, abandoning everything else, is also said in the same way. After that, the way to abide is: Prostrations, circumambulations, and recitation of sutras are all abandoned, but the utterance of mantras is not prohibited. How can one speak even a word to others? Only bodily gestures are to be made. Thus it is. Third is repetition: In the end, to do... to do. In the end, all bodily and verbal gestures are abandoned. As said before: After that, stabilize and repeat, all speech is prohibited, abide like a mute, and do not make bodily gestures, but only make mental gestures here. Thus it is. Fourth is stabilization: The meaning of the root words "to do everything" is that even the expression of the mind, the activity of the nature of speech, is gradually prohibited, and after purification, the meaning of the unspeakable arises in the continuum. As it is said in the same text: The meaning of the unspeakable dawns in the continuum, quick enlightenment is the key. Thus it is. Second, the necessity is twofold: to directly explain the qualities of grasping the essential points, and to explain the faults of not grasping the essential points. The first is: The necessity is... to... indicated by the interval of transformation, temporarily, mistaken speech and afflictions will not increase, most supremely, the meaning of the unspeakable arises in the continuum, and ultimately, one attains nirvana in the realm of the speech of the three kayas of the Buddha. As it is said in "Klong gsal": Thus, whoever grasps the essential points of speech, the causes of speech are exhausted and nirvana is attained. And in "After Death Three": Speech is the order of learning, abiding, stabilizing, and repeating again. Whoever does not transcend that, all the Buddhas of the three times, attain nirvana in the realm of speech. And in "Buddha's Last Testament Two": Emaho! Son of lineage, wishing to completely attain nirvana from speech, do not transcend the wheel of silence. Thus it is. Second, the fault of not grasping the essential points is: also possessing the faults opposite to those qualities. As it is said in "Klong gsal": If one does not grasp the essential points of speech, one will not realize the meaning of the unspeakable, and mistaken speech will obscure the meaning. Thus it is. Samaya (Tibetan: ས་མ་ཡཱ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: समय, Sanskrit Romanization: samaya, meaning: vow): is the seal of the Dharma of speech, unspeakable.

This is the concluding statement on how to accomplish this method. The three 'རྒྱ་' (seals) are as before. The third point is the essence of the mind, which is divided into substance and necessity. First, from 'དེ་ནས་ཡིད༴' to 'བལྟས་པས་ཞེས'. The essence of the mind is like the target where the mind is placed, which is the two, Dharmadhatu and Rigpa, so to set or act on it. In the state of the three, door essence, returning, placing, special guidance, one should be upright and unmoving in the place where it manifests well. Do not let the mind be distracted like a spear pointing to the external empty Dharmadhatu, but rather abide in a state of not making any conceptual distinctions, not expecting purification and liberation, and not fearing non-manifestation. As it says in 'Beyond': 'The mind is accomplished by abiding in the Dharmadhatu.' Also, as it says in 'Vast Expanse of Light': 'One should set the target of abiding in the essence.' Also, as it says in 'Vastness': 'The mind is accomplished by abiding in the Dharmadhatu. Do not move the oral instructions of the three essences. On the external empty sky, Rigpa itself should abide as an unadorned target. By abiding without distraction, on the external empty Dharmadhatu, the internal pure Dharmadhatu, like a lamp, will appear empty and clear. Manifest clearly, attain complete Buddhahood without remainder.' Also, as it says in 'Seventy Instructions of Dum Dum Thrig': 'The oral instruction of the image of the target of abiding is, abide in the two, Dharmadhatu and Rigpa.' The second part includes its advantages and opposite disadvantages. First, from 'རྟོག་བཟོ༴' to 'ཡོད་དོ། །'. Because its nature is grasping the essence of manifestation and illuminating like a lamp, one can completely realize the view that transcends all conceptual thoughts defiled by the impurities of wisdom, and it has the necessity of cutting off all verbal bonds at once. As it says in 'Vast Expanse of Light': 'Thus, by grasping the essence of the mind, the three Kayas of Rigpa will appear in emptiness.' Furthermore, the mind has the merit of passing into Nirvana in the heart realm of all Buddhas. As it says in 'After Nirvana': 'If you want the mind to completely pass into Nirvana, do not separate from the empty sky.' Secondly, if one does not grasp the essence, knowledge will be led by bad objects, thus regressing into Samsara, and one will not be able to see Dharmadhatu and Rigpa. As it says in 'That Same Treatise': 'If one does not grasp the essence of the mind, one will not be able to see Dharmadhatu and Rigpa.' And 'Rigpa will regress to the object.' Samaya, with this great mudra of the vow...
