"It does not go beyond the two, the realm and the wisdom." And in the "Union of Sun and Moon Tantra," it says, "The Sugata's intention is twofold." And so on. Without being distracted by the obscurations of the appearances of good, bad, and intermediate conditions, and the clinging to fabricated thoughts, the nature of these arising as indivisible awareness and emptiness is the very essence of all Buddhas of the three times abiding within oneself. As Naropa said: "That which is free from the stain of conceptual thought, self-awareness, free from elaboration, that itself is non-abiding Nirvana. That itself is Vajrasattva. The sixth Buddha is also that. The six lineages are also that. Manjushri Youth is also that. Vairochana is also that. Dharmakaya and Great Bliss, and Union, are also that." And in the "Tantra of Averting the Asura War," it says: "The gods are like sesame pods. Gods beyond the number of dust motes. These can be condensed into ten fathers and mothers. These can be condensed into five vidyas. These can be condensed into three families. All condensed into one, all the gods are the root god. All known by awareness is All-Knowing Vairochana. All pervading all, Vairochana is like a great snow mountain sea. The taste of the gods is equal, all impartial, filled with gods. Completely united, it is the temple of the gods." And so on. To this, some say that it is the cause of Buddhahood, which is in accordance with the sutras and tantras, so it is reasonable. If the nature of the Buddha is already present, then the qualities of the Dharmakaya, such as powers, and the qualities of the Rupakaya, such as marks and signs, must be clearly and completely present. If that were the case, there would be no need for the path, and so on. Because they do not understand the heap of faults, it is unreasonable, even if they make threats and intimidation. That is like the false clamor of a Gina. The nature of mind being Buddha is not something that we Mahamudra and Dzogchen have newly thought of and said. In the "Two Examinations," it says: "Sentient beings are Buddhas, but are obscured by adventitious stains. Removing them is actual Buddhahood." And in the "Guhyagarbha Tantra," it says: "Apart from mind, there is no Buddha, apart from mind, there is no other Dharma. Even the Buddha does not see it, and what has not been said will not be said." And in the "Compendium Tantra," it says: "Sentient beings are Buddhas, there is no other great Buddha in this world realm."

Thus, I respectfully take refuge in the Sugatas who abide in my own mind. Thus, Hevajra says: The nature of mind is the perfect Buddha; Buddhahood cannot be found elsewhere. Thus, it is said in the Anuttarayoga Tantra: If one realizes one's own mind, one is a Buddha, so one should generate the thought of not seeking the Buddha elsewhere. There are many such statements. The reasoning for its purification is that, for example, the sun is obscured by clouds, and although its rays are not clear, it is not non-existent. How can it be if virtues exist but are not manifest? It is said in the Tantra of Non-Duality: The marks and signs of the Sugata are certainly present in the bodies of all sentient beings. They appear without decrease or increase, so they are made new. This is the meaning of concealment, so this principle is taught. Thus, it is also said in the Nirvana Sutra: Sons of the lineage, within the bodies of all sentient beings are the ten powers, the thirty-two marks, and the eighty minor marks. Thus it is said. The nature of the Buddha is as follows: the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, great compassion, and the three mindfulnesses. Sentient beings also have these three aspects, and if they completely destroy the afflictions, they will be seen from the beginning. Thus it is said. It is said in the Two Examinations: Sentient beings are themselves Buddhas, and the thirty-two marks also arise from within all sentient beings. Thus it is said in the Garland of Glory Tantra: The mind abides in the emptiness of awareness. Because it is perfectly endowed with the ten powers and so on, it is co-emergent with nature and possesses the causes and conditions of the form body. Thus it is said. It is said in the Wisdom Space Tantra: The essence is the Dharmakaya of the ground, and the realization is the two Wisdom Dharmakayas. There is no difference between the essence and the ground. On the essence of the sun itself, there is no darkness, obscuration, or cold. When it is suddenly obscured by clouds, it is not that there is no sunlight, but that the essence does not increase or decrease. Thus, although virtues exist, they are not manifest. Otherwise, those who consider virtues to be ripening fruits, generated by causes and conditions, will make the Dharmakaya and Sambhogakaya into conditioned phenomena, and a collection of causes and conditions will eventually perish. That conditioned phenomenon is impermanent. If it is impermanent, it is pervaded by suffering, so it becomes a cause of defamation. However,
