From this, wandering in samsara like a water-drawing wheel. As Chandrakirti said: First, grasping 'I' as self, then generating attachment to 'mine' objects, like a water-drawing wheel, without autonomy. As it says: All afflictive faults arise from the view of the aggregates. Thus, it is understood. Therefore, it should be known that this is merely a mistaken conceptualization that grasps in the manner of no-self. Third, because this self-grasping binds us in the prison of samsara, becoming a great enemy that harms all. Therefore, the yogi, with the sharp sword of discriminating wisdom, should sever the neck of self-grasping, thereby completely cutting off birth and death, and attaining nirvana in the suchness of dharmata. As the Bhagavan said: The great enemy called self-grasping is an affliction. Also, as the tantra of the Ambrosia Ocean says: The enemy that harms all sentient beings is the five poisons, the number of these enemies is eighty-four thousand. The root of these enemies is the gathering of self-grasping. It also says: This enemy does not need to be killed, cutting off its root, self-grasping, it will die. Also, as it says: In the house of the three realms of mind, the enemy self-grasping dwells within, with the naturally clear and sharp blade, with the sword of wisdom, sever its head, with the vajra hook, extract its heart, cutting off the life of ignorant self-grasping, dissolving into the source of birth and death. Thus it is. Second, completely eradicating the grasping itself, thereby naturally revealing the view of the self-liberation of the three kayas. Completely eradicating grasping, thereby naturally revealing the three kayas, in the state of resting meditation, self-liberation, self-arising confidence, and the meaning that arises from that, these three. First, now, such grasping... until without trace. Such grasping, from where does it first arise, from external objects, internal one's own body and mind, one should examine. Even if one does not know from where it arises, if one thinks it exists now, then where do the three, body, speech, and mind, reside? Speech is emptiness, there is no basis for abiding. It seems that it can only abide in the body. If it abides outside the body, then there is no need to grasp the internal as self, and to be close to suffering. If it abides internally, then it is the opposite of the external. Similarly, if it abides above, then below, if it abides below, then above, there is no need to experience pain, etc., one should examine carefully.
